Have you seen this bumper sticker? I've seen it a few times now, it seems to complement the little Darwin fish with the feet pretty well.

Why do you think the Bible Belt has the highest rates of homocide? (not to mention STDs, Teen Pregnancy, Divorce, etc.)

Would you say Christianity is to blame, since nothing is more important than the Lord?

My dads only sibling, my uncle, is a catholic priest. My brothers and I were raised in the catholic church and attended catholic school. My parents divorced in 1980 at which point we went to public school and no church at all. I've struggled in this life; divorces, one child (now 19), suicide attempt, depression, and so on (although no drug or alcohol abuse).
I'm 40 now and want my church back but not only has the church excommunicated me (because of divorce) but my uncle couldn't care less what I do. Catholocism is all I know.
I do not understand why Catholics are so judgemental. Aren't we all sinners? What? Are my sins worse than theirs? It appears that catholics kick you when you're down, take your God from you when you need him the most. I don't get it.

Well I know its her house n stuff but I'm not a religious person. My beliefs are more 'New Age' and although my mum does not mind this and believes in a lot of it herself, she still carries out religious rituals. She does this crap in my room where all the statues are kept. She's really self contradictory- on the one hand she says that we should believe in ourselves, not depend on something external, but then she goes and carries out religious practices. Its really annoying....what can I say to her? I'm 16 btw.

Christians, what's your thoughts on this?

I personally think God loves us at any level. There is no higher level with God, he loves us unconditional. This statement kinda reminds me of doing "WORKS"

considered bashing? SHouldn't statements, teachings and the character of religious leaders be considered? IF you are going to base your life on a belief system shouldn't you evaluate it? Why is anything that challenges your belief system considered anti-mormon and hateful?

CHristians know the flaws of their leaders, and know the ugly parts of their history.

Even the Bible shows us the failings of leaders (like David, SOlomon and Moses). If God wants us to know of the failings of these men, why wouldn't God want you to know of the flaws of your leaders? Why not look at these men as they were instead of insulting people who bring up this information?

Why do I keep hearing about it being anti-Christian? I read a little about it in wikipedia and it seems like a fantasy type movie, which doesn't seem all that bad. Can someone explain what the fuss is all about?

Forgive me if I've missed a meeting on this. I just don't get it.

When you have a trouble in your life and you see it is completely out of your control and you did every thing that you could even more than your ability but still you see all the doors closed front of your face, if you believe in God , Allah or any strong power ( any thing that you want call it) so you try to pray and ask for help, but even pray don't work and there is not any answer, then what you should?

how many atheists threw fits when Passion of the Christ came out? or The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe?

what im asking is, why do christians feel the need to protest anything that isnt christian based?

what sparks this? is there this intense hate for non-christians or what?

Recently my family (as well as myself) have looked into the history of the LDS church. They have all been LDS there entire lives. My Mothers Dad was a bishop only a few years ago. What they have found, as well as thousands of others, proves the relegion to be a hoax.

Since their discovery, many family members are upset. My parents have tried to talk to them about why they are leaving and what they have found, but no one will even hear it. They just assume we have sinned or were offended.

Why is that when something has been proven to be false, people will refuse to even listen to what was found? Why would they choose to live under a rock and shelter themselves from truth? If you believe something so strongly, shouldn't you have ALL the facts and not disregard very important facts?

(As a British Muslim and a believer in Jesus) I find that many people are so quick to judge religion and deny it for whatever reasons yet what are peoples reasons to celebrate christmas? as its intentions are to celebrate the birth of christ. So what happens to all those who deny religion, but are celebrating christmas? Has it become a cultural event in society today?
