From my understanding of salvation, yes. Jesus died so that all would have the chance to be forgiven, even serial killers. What people don't understand is that God loves all of us; He may hate the things that we do, but unconditional, agape love, means unconditional. As long as that person truly repents for their past deeds, accepts Jesus as their Savior, does their best not to sin again and then lives their life according to the word of God from then on, they are saved, they have a chance at eternal life. Now as far as if they go straight on up to Heaven when they die, only God can answer that one. I just know it's not my place to judge, no matter how I might feel about what they've done.

Of course. It is essential for the continuation of the religious myth that all are acceptable for redemption. If not, many people who are serious "Sinners" yet suppoert churches would not do so because, being a sinner cut of from this "Grace" that god administers, they would no longer support the church. Money and future menbers in the church would be lost and that is NOT good for business.
In order to keep the myth going the people who preach about all of this must hold out hope for everyone. Telling people that the are cut of from this mythical Heaven and Paradise after life would put a real damper on membership, therefor income, therefor power.
No business deliberately cuts of the source of income - especially churches.

You are asking the wrong people. It's not Christians who determine whether or not a person goes to heaven, it's God. It's His game and He makes the rules. Since Eden, man was never meant to EARN his way into heaven or LOSE heaven based on his morality because he is incapable of it your question is irrelevant. It doesn't matter what immoral behavior we commit, lying, stealing, cheating, killing, ALL of it disqualifies us from heaven. In order to get there by works one has to have never, ever committed even ONE sin. Never lied, never cheated (even on taxes or change at the grocery store), never called their neighbor a fool...so we are ALL doomed to hell...and to get there we have to do nothing...
BUT there is a way out. God put on human flesh, came to Earth in the person of Jesus Christ, died on a cross and rose again to BE the punishment for that serial killer and you and me. He suffered so we don't have to...and we SHOULD be grateful for that gift and not belittle it. It cost Jesus His life.
We can humble ourselves, honestly and sincerely admit our grave sin nature to God who knows our deepest secrets and He will let Jesus PAYMENT stand for the punishment we should get oh, and the serial killer's too if he does the same thing. I didn't EARN that gift....I earned death...as did you and as did the serial killer...because NONE of us is perfect we all commit sin. But God's mercy on us because He loves us allows His GRACE (God's riches at Christ's Expense) to pay our way into heaven. Isn't that GREAT...
So is it true that sinners (like me, you and the serial killers) can have our sin paid for by God and go to heaven because He has mercy on us? The answer is yes...according to the Bible which Jesus said was God's Word. Christians, though, have nothing to do with it...they are just like all those who have accepted that GIFT..."FORGIVEN" and nothing more.

If they truly accept Christ and become a Christian then yes. Sin is sin and it does not matter what it is they are all equal in God's sight because they cause a separation from him.
It is actually a good thing that killers can be redeemed because if even they can then surely God can do the same for everybody else who truly calls on his name.

If they are truly sorry and repent and I believe go through something quite profound in their soul and mind of asking Gods forgiveness. It says somewhere about having real remorse, you cant just be like "sorry dude" and then poof forgiven. But its up to God so who knows what happens, you could always agrue people like that are either possessed or being led by the devil, I dont think Charles Manson will be in heaven.

Yeah, isn't that amazing. See, God knows it's really our sin nature that causes us to do dastardly things like kill people. There was a time when God looked at everything in and eye-for-an-eye fashion. But since God made the ultimate sacrifice for us by dying on the cross, He's paid the penalty for that serial killer and for you too. All you have to do is trust in Jesus for your salvation.

accepting Christ will get anyone into heaven, but there must be a repentant heart with that acceptance- otherwise it would be cheap grace- it is a free gift to any of us, however it cost Jesus, the perfect Son of God to pay the price we could never pay. However, if that person accepted Christ on their death bed and admitted being a sinner, they too would be instantly with Him,like the thief on the cross

There is no sin that YHVH cannot forgive. However a true repentance and reformation is needed. P.S. "Christians" refers to a lawless group that has rejected the marriage contract with YHVH which is the pre-requisite for becoming the "bride" of the Messiah YAHOSHUA.

It all depends on who they accept as God. Many people "accept God" at a time of crisis (see Paris Hilton) without seeking Christ. In the Bible, Jesus (as well as his apostals) clearly state(s) THE ONLY way to heaven/God is via Christ. Acceptance of Jesus blood sacrifice on the cross plus nothing is the way to heaven.
Nay-sayers, non-believers, and all who reject Christ as God in human flesh are sadly condemened to eternal separation from Him. All that is good is from God. To be eternally separated from good is....well, anything but that.
Those who feel the Bible is antiquated, fabricated, or anything other than the Word of God directed by the Holy Spirit, I emplore you to read the New Testament. But prior to doing so, within yourself ask God to reveal to you the truth of His word. Yes, even if you doubt God's existence....He will reveal Himself to you.
That said, anyone (serial killers included) who accepts Christ death on the cross as payment for his/her sin, will be saved. Just look at the criminal crucified beside Jesus. His "deathbed" (although he was hanging) confession was met with Christ's compassion, "Today you will be with Me in paradise."
In closing, the simplicity of salvation wasn't meant to be a means of division between people. Rather, it's SO SIMPLE that anyone, who's done anything can go to heaven; the condition is to accept and believe that Christ' death on the cross alone is the means of getting there.

According to Christian teaching, it's not enough for them to simply say, "yeah, i believe that there is a God" for them to go to Heaven. They have to be truly sorry for what they had done and make amends to the families of their victims, and promise to never sin again.
