We are volunteer catechists and we handle children ages ranging from 6 to 13 years of age. We teach them catholic catechesim every week in our respective communities and we are in dire need of supporters who could possible help us in feeding them during the scheduled classes. Right now the volunteer coordinators take turns in bringing food for the children but we have quite a big area to cover and there are many children who would like to avail of this program.
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

I am looking for the earliest explicit patristic witnesse (year, author, book, chapter/paragraph) for...

(1) Mary's ever virginity
(2) Mary being free from personal sin
(3) a prayer being offered to a saint
(4) the lawfulness of, or command to, paint and venerate icons
(5) mandatory celibacy of bishops.

Since red hair is mainly an Irish Scottish thing (I think) that means who ever wrote the bible is not only racist but the most heinous of crimes... HAIRIST!!! And since I’m Irish, that means my little brother is Irish, and if he's Irish AND has red hair that means who ever wrote the bible hates him (obviously not particularly him) therefore I hate the men and women, I’m not sexist... unlike some... that wrote the bible, and that’s why I do not believe in Christianity... Is any of this getting threw to you?

If someone "Kills God" was it ever God? or meant to be an imposter?

I was just wondering what the fuss is about, because if the premise is as described, it's not the Biblical God anyway.

So why the fuss? Can't you just say she kills someone pretending to be God?

Considering that Mary lived at a time when she was the property of all the male members of her household, it was very progressive of her, and Jesus, to nag Jesus to go do something at the Canna Wedding; and for Jesus to not ignore his mother and DO IT!

Mary was a powerful leader, first among the Apostles, there when Jesus performed his First Miracle, she's the one that nagged him into it, and was highly respected by those in her circle of influence. Not something that ANY woman of that time should or could have done, but she did!

Why do you think people agreed with what you wrote? Was it just pure logic or a truly heartfelt response? If you can could you provide a link to the answer?

what about those heterosexuals that violate ONE of the Ten Commandments (of which there is no mention against homosexuals, and of course everyone knows is the DIRECT word of God almighty). Then do those heterosexuals joint the homosexuals in purgatory to burn for all time?

Belief in the existence of vacuums used to be punishable by death under church law. Have you people conquered your fear over the vacuum cleaner yet? Or do you still think science is scary and not to be trusted?

Every time I ask a question that questions religious teachings all I get back is mean remarks about being immature, stupid, poorly raised and inevitably doomed. I didn't ask them what they thought of me being an atheist, but they seem to prefer that question. You know who you are you mean people. When I questioned an atheist about his lack of beliefs when I was catholic he said things like; "Ooohh, that's a good question, but..." and nice things. "Compliments" even. All his atheist friends were the same. I'm well aware of the fact that atheists (as well as religious people) will often intentionally annoy the other side but that's just some peoples idea of fun. Why the different approaches to answering serious questions though?
It's religions intolerence of pretty much everything that turned me away from it.

Why do people post questions, questioning the existence of free speech on Yahoo! Answers and being particularly angry about it when they signed up under these terms and conditions: http://docs.yahoo.com/info/terms/, particularly this section:

These links are provided when you sign up, found at the bottom of every page and the community guidelines are provided when you ask a question.

Why do people continue to assume that they have the right to free speech here?

i am an atheist... BUT, honestly, i used to be a christian. ok, i just want to here what u have to say about a dream i had... in my dream it was raining and stormy, the sky was purple, and the ground was like dirt and i was kind of up high, and then in the distance there were 3 crosses, and i am guessing 'jesus' was the one in the middle, and there were these men pushing a crown of throns into his head, and it was really gross and there was blood and i felt so weird in my dream, like there was this force or power if u get wot i mean, and then i felt so sad i actually woke up crying... i think itz a weird dream, but could it be a message? i was wondering, if there was some sort of a god or life force and jesus were his son or prophet, could i still believe in just that and not the bible? because it does contradict itself... i don't know if deep down i still have hope and faith or if it's just the left overs of being brainwashed...
