i am an atheist... BUT, honestly, i used to be a christian. ok, i just want to here what u have to say about a dream i had... in my dream it was raining and stormy, the sky was purple, and the ground was like dirt and i was kind of up high, and then in the distance there were 3 crosses, and i am guessing 'jesus' was the one in the middle, and there were these men pushing a crown of throns into his head, and it was really gross and there was blood and i felt so weird in my dream, like there was this force or power if u get wot i mean, and then i felt so sad i actually woke up crying... i think itz a weird dream, but could it be a message? i was wondering, if there was some sort of a god or life force and jesus were his son or prophet, could i still believe in just that and not the bible? because it does contradict itself... i don't know if deep down i still have hope and faith or if it's just the left overs of being brainwashed...

First Dreams are a way of our mind telling us something is wrong or something that is missing.
As for this dream that you had. As you have stated you walked away from Christ. This could be a way that JESUS the CHRIST is trying to show you how much HE loves you and wants you back.
As for you question is there a GOD? YES there is one. And JESUS was HIS son.
As for brainwashing thing, some people trade one brainwashing idea for another brainwashing idea. Just look for yourself at all the fact.

First, the Bible does NOT contradict itself. Read it, read the whole thing in context. I dare you (and all you atheists out there). It doesn't contradict itself. It's the inerrant, infallible, complete, inspired Word of God.
This song by the group 33 Miles covers it better than I can.
33 Miles - There Is A God lyrics
There’s a beauty to the dawn, a rhythm to the rain
A silence in the soul that I just can’t explain
There’s a breath of life I breathe, a beating in my heart
A magnificence, a scary sense of what lies past the stars
Beyond what we can see behind the mystery
I know that it could only be
(Chorus)
There is a God; this is the proof
That all around the evidence is speaking the truth
From the center of my soul to the edge of the universe
Creation is crying out believe it or not
There is a God
There’s a debt that has been paid, a grace that I’ve been shown
A hope that I’ve been given that I have never known
There’s a love that conquers darkness a piece of life in me
There’s a life that’s not just here and now but for eternity
Beyond what we can see behind the mystery
I know that it could only be that

You are not an idiot...dreams are so interesting and can be such a mystery sometimes. God uses dreams so many times to communicate things to people. But, I know it can be hard to determine if it is Him or your sub-conscience. It's possible your dream could be a message. You should reconsider the decision you made concerning your faith. At least really search your heart before you renounce your faith completely. The Bible is not the sole reason to believe. It is usually the excuse used not to believe though since it is so misunderstood. The brainwashing scenario always has amused me. Study what it takes to be brainwashed. True Christian churches do not have the time or the means to brainwash people. I believe because of the proof I have seen and the change that has been made in my life. Not because I was brainwashed. Good luck to you and thanks for your honest question.

You said that you used to be a Christian right? And then you became an atheist after. So, my interpretation is God was so sad when you left him(Became an Atheist). God made you dream that because he wants you back.
The most important thing that you should believe is that God is your creator and savior. By believing that, you should become a born again. For being born again, you are qualified for entering his kingdom. For it is in the scriptures that "no man can enter God's kingdom unless he is born again" - JOHN 3:3.
Being born again is not a religion but an important stage.
The Holy Bible contains true stories in which you can learn plenty of things. Things that can help you with your life. You should also consider believing in the Bible because it has a lot of fascinating stories.

Well actually your thoughts are more correct to what the bible teaches. If you look at proverbs chapter 8vs 20 onward. This explanation is no other than Jesus explaining his creation. What he was created? Jesus had a beginning. See there is no trinity. Maybe your dream is really saying My son suffered, and i God had also suffered. May be it is time to study the bible, and come back but with understanding.
Yes, even the apostles said Christians have to grow up and stop the baby food and mature.

hello,
i dont know what to say exactly. I am a christian, but I cant say I am perfect nor am I a bible expert. As for your dream, I clearly believe that there is something in there that you alone can understand. As for me, I think, at some point in your life you had a deep relationsip (faith) with Jesus. And in your dreams, whether he requests you to be a christian once again, i dont know. But he might be asking you to remember the time when all your hopes were hooked on him.
Why did he appear? Why were you in Golgotha? I think you can answer why he gently reminded you in a dream. As far as my opinions are concerned, the tears you wept are the tears of one who used to be "with him" so much and is now no longer at his side.
As for believing in him ONLY, that is not a problem I believe. Because after all, "CHRIST"ians we are and not "BIBLI"ans for lack of a better term. Religion cannot be the right path, I think it is the faith we have that will guide us to the truth we seek and the light at the end of this life time.
Take time and talk with him, in whatever way you conceive him to be. :)
take care.

To see it graphically like that in a dream is a message. I think God has purpose for you that only you could do that's why He is trying to reach you and to show you Him. As long as you live you have hope. We Christians are brainswashed people, I admit, the blood of Jesus that was shed cleansed our minds from all the sins we have committed and from all the worldliness there is. What is in your heart...God will only taunt you for a period of time and then, there will be no more.

The only place to learn about Jesus is in the Bible. It does not contradict itself although if you take it out of context you can make it say anything.
Jesus died on the cross that those who repent and trust in Him can be forgiven and have eternal life. The only authority for this is found in the Bible.

Hey, I encourage you to PRESS IN and PRESS ON until you get an answer that you feel is favourable.
When I take a verse out of context, the Bible contradicts itself. I agree with similar replies to your message.
God bless.
