where did you get the idea that homosexuality is blasphemy?
And there is only one unforgivable sin.....that is blasphemy of the Holy Spirit

Sigh - where to start...
1) In the context in which you use the term, there is no such thing as Christianity. There are many different Christian denominations, and each has its own set of credal norms. In the Episcopal Church, for instance, they have homosexual priests and bishops, so obviously they don't condemn the practice.
2) In the groups that do condemn homosexuality, the sin is certainly not one of blasphemy.
3) The Catholic Church is one of the most vocal in opposition to homosexual practices - not homosexuals, note, an important distinction. But the Catholic Church has never - repeat never - said that any specific individual is in hell. God's mercy is beyond our knowing, and we might well be surprised at people who have been forgiven their sins. In the Bible, the ONLY person who was guaranteed heaven was the thief on the cross next to Jesus.
4) With regard to the sins of other people, see 3) above.
5) Purgatory is a theological construct designed to address the problem of purification of those who die. The whole concept of purgatory is that it is a place of temporal purification, insofar as anything beyond death can be thought of within time, since it is generally assumed that the spiritual plane doesn't exist in the same time frame as we do.
In short - an uninformed and spiteful question.

I am a Christian Catholic.
Being a homosexual is not a sin in itself. It is having sexual intercourse with the same sex that is a sin. The act is the sin, but not the type of person.
True. There is no mention about homosexuality in the Ten Commandment, but there is in the Bible.
The heterosexuals, being human (flawed and sinful) are also bound to be punished if they do not do good. And the homosexuals, the same with the heterosexuals are also bound to be punished if they go on with whatever wickedness they do.
But, if the homosexuals (without doing sinful acts of sexual intercourse with the same sex) and the heterosexuals are both doing their best do do what is right and just, then both shall be rewarded and blessed by the Lord.
The Lord is forgiving and merciful. We all have the chance to repent. He will not be deaf to the cries of those who are suffering. We do not have to fear hell nor purgatory because all we have to do is do good to the best of our abilities. Regardless of religion or personal beliefs. Whether you are a Protestant, Catholic, Jew, Buddhist, Muslim, Agnostic, Atheist etc., you are not a stranger to human sympathy nor pity.

Every one of us has violated all ten of the commandments. Any Christian knows this. Otherwise, they would not be Christians. To hate someone is to commit murder in the eyes of God and to lust after someone is to commit adultery. We have all broken every law. The difference comes when we realize what we've done and turn away from our sin and ask God's forgiveness. By God's law, we all deserve to burn in hell for eternity...but God sent Jesus Christ to pay our fine. Those who can recognize that (and believe it!) will become new creations and will be judged guiltless...no matter what they've done.

As a Christian - a child of God and follower of Jesus Christ - who just so happens to also be gay - I would say this - Jesus never once mentioned homosexuality, in all his teachings - not once, ever, not a single time.
He did however on more than one occasion say that divorce and remarriage was the exact same thing as adultery. If homosexuality is a sin it is no better nor worse than adultery - but how many Christians today are living in sin with a second or third wife and not repentant of their adulterous lifestyle?!?
But He gives more grace. Remember His response to His incredulous disciples: "This is a hard saying and not everyone can accept it, but only him to whom it is given."
I am not condemned to eternal hell - "there is no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus" - I am a sinner saved by grace!

Those Christians who use the Bible to justify their sin of homophobia practice "Pick and Choose" Christianity. They pick and choose from the Bible what they want to follow or ignore, while denying that they pick and choose, all the while reviling others for picking and choosing. They can do or say whatever they want as long as they never, ever, under any circumstances question the handful of verses they use to assure themselves it's "loving" to revile gay people.
Moreover, the anti-gay, pro-bigotry organizations and churches which promote homophobia are not going to care about other sins, because they are too busy hoisting homosexuality to Super Sin status and making money off the misery their homophobia causes God's gay and lesbian children.

The 10 commandments are a tutor to show people they have a need for a savior. By your own admission they don't pick on homo's. But do you think you are a good person? Have you ever broken one of them? The bible says if you have broken one of them then you have broken them all. Instead of asking questions on Y/A you should seek some biblical training so we don't have to keep spinning our wheels here. You cannot justify your sin and receive the righteousness of Jesus Christ. You must be born again.

I suggest that you understand what various terms mean before you use them. Blasphemy means the act of insulting or showing contempt or lack of reverence for God. Purgatory is a place where the souls of those who die in God's grace may make satisfaction for past sins and so become fit for heaven, not a place for all time.

While all sin is heinous - not all sin is equally heinous. One scripture reference that shows this is:
John 19:11d "...therefore he that delivered me unto thee hath the greater sin.
The Bible considers the sin of homosexuality a scandalous sin (1 Corinthians 6:9-11). There are other scandalous sins, like adultery - this does not mean we hate those which practice adultery. However the Bible is clear that those that unrepentantly practice scandalous sins are showing evidence that they are not members of Christ's kingdom.
The truth is that everybody in the world is born a sinner, homosexuals are no different. The Bible tells us that homosexuality like other sins comes from a desire to rebel against God. By yourself these desires can be very difficult to overcome. Like choices to abuse alcohol and drugs, people can feel enslaved by their homosexual desires. Thank God, homosexuality is not an unforgivable sin and today is still the day of salvation.
1 Corinthians 6:11
"And such WERE some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God."

If Jesus is your savior your sins are paid for ( past , present, future ) We violate the laws of the bible everyday ,it's impossible not to sin . That is why people need a savior ,Jesus can save homosexuals and turn there life around 180 degrees. And there is no such word purgatory in the bible.
