If God's 6th commandment is,
Thou Shalt not murder
Why do you all support companies that kill animals for you to eat? If God gave you all the fruits and veggies in the Garden of Eden, why do you still choose to eat meat?

Would any of my fellow belivers like to give me evidence of God EVER calling a believer a sinner? God gives several distinctions between righteous people and sinners. For instance, "But go and learn what this means; 'I desire mercy, not sacrifice.' For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners." (Matthew 9:13) "If the righteous receive their due on earth, how much more the ungodly and the sinner!" (Proverbs 11:31) "You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness." (Romans 6:18) I could continue, but my point is, if the Bible says we have been set free from sin, God calls us RIGHTEOUS and not sinners, then why do many christians say that they are still sinners. Can you provide biblical proof? And not proof that christians occasionally sin, because I know we occasionally do. I'm talking of actual biblical proof that born again Christians still have the title of 'sinner' even after our conversion.

I want to believe that Protestants are Christian because my parents are Protestant and so is most of my family but they have done too much to destroy historic Christianity to still be part of the faith. Why did the American Bible society take out the intertestimonial books or Apocraphal books? What gives them the right to do this in the 19th century after they had been part of the Bible for all of our history. What happened to the sacraments? And how about looking to tradition to understand scripture instead of reading verses with new interpretations that contradict ancient Christian teaching. How can Protestant teaching on anything be considered Truth when they create it on the spot? If something directly contradicts Truth how can you still call it Truth? So, then if something directly contradicts Christianity how can you still call it Christianity? I love Protestant people but the more I research Christian history the less I respect their flawed understanding of our Saviour.

This may seem like an attack on the RC but it is not but as of lately ESP. when Pope Benedict got elected the Vatican has been dwelving itself into politics, more so than usaul and even threatening its followers with excommunication if they vote for certain politicians or even Catholic politicos if they do not follow the churches teachings and or disaggree. It is a disturbing and potientaly dangerous course to take both for the church and its followers as well as others. The church and politics are kept seperate for a good reason here in the USA. Also, the Pope has warned followers not to vote for any politician who does not agree with the church or is of a liberal turn. He seemed to have implied that the only good candidates are the neoconservative ones despite that a lot of them have displayed some rigid, narrow, intolerant views and many of who are hardcore, reactionary religous fanatics. It appears that the Vatican favors only these politicos and is not fair to the others.

It's common knowledge that the amount of water (H2O) stays constant in the earth's atmosphere. Now where did water go? And where ever it went, how did it manage to disappear in just one day? The bible says that the world was flooded for 40 days, so on the 41st day, the water must've all gone away. How is that possible?

circumstances. Then, there are some religous people who do not believe in abortion, no matter what.

My question is.....are there any people who do not believe in abortion, NO MATTER WHAT the circumstance is...who are not religion practicing individuals? If so, how do you explain your stance?

Personally, my faith as well as my own common sense, guided me in helping me form the stance that is not okay, no matter what. I am just wondering, what made you personally believe that it is not okay, even under circumstances such as rape, etc? I am curious to hear an arguement AGAINST abortion under any circumstance that doesn't involve religion, because I know that most of them do (which nothing is wrong with...I just wanna hear it from a different point of view).

Your responses will be most appreciated =)

... things need a creator, something to be the "it"?

Is this one reason that we have trouble seeing that the universe is constantly creating itself, i.e., that nothing is raining other than the rain itself?

(Sorry if I made your hair hurt.)

Pilate said. "Don't you realize I have power either to free you or to crucify you?"
His wife even pled with him, "Don't have anything to do with that innocent man, for I have suffered a great deal today in a dream because of him."
Yet he buckled under the Jewish religious leders demands and crucified an innocent man. Does that make him a coward, or was he just being pragmatic about keeping order?

What is the lutheran church's policy on interfaith marriages? Can a lutheran marry a buddhist and still have it be recognized by the church?

I mean... just LOOK at that party! It hatefully seeks to reinstate the pre-Roe-vs.-Wade Dark Ages, and FORCE millions of girls and women to gestate UNwanted pregnancies to term against their will. (A very real, 9-month-long form of rape!)

And it stands as a barrier to vital and hugely-beneficial medical advances with its ludicrous opposition to embryonic stem-cell research... even though the embryoes that would be used would otherwise be destroyed anyway!

And it moronically whines about same-sex marriage, and promotes passage of "Defense of Marriage" laws all over the place. But if asked just HOW any same-sex couple's getting married could possibly do ANY harm to any opposite-sex couple's marriage, they look the other way and whistle a tune. No surprise -- since same-sex marriage would harm NOTHING and NO one. It's totally **harmless**

The Republican Party is a dishonest and repressive JOKE. So why would ANY sensible person want anything to do with it?

Islam has conquered to much you can't name to many countries where muslims are not present. I like the Jews Christians Sikhs Buddists and other faiths better than the blasted muslims.
