Recently, as I have expressed before, my health has not been well.

Today, I hit a ghost like owl. It was very dark outside and raining. If I would have swerved, I definitely would have been seriously injured or killed.

The owl was standing in the middle of my lane and looking straight at me. Its eyes kind of shocked me. I didn't realize what it was until a second before I hit it. After that, I nearly drove off the road, into a ditch.

It was standing straight forward with its wings down. It was completely white. I live in Western Pennsylvania, if that helps at all.

Please someone help me to do a little research or share your knowledge. As far as I know, owls are often harbingers of death. They have always been very symbolic to my life, and I spent a lot of my adolescence painting dead owls on canvas (odd, huh?) I am very terrified over this. Thank you.

From what I've heard Christians anwer before, they said that the water became the oceans of today. But that doesn't make sense. Why? Because the oceans must've already been filled with water before or during the flood in order for the world to be flooded to the highest mountain peek. How could the world be flooded if the oceans aren't also filled with water? Now, how did the water go away? If it evaporated, it would've rained down again. And it could'nt have gone to the oceans either because the oceans are already filled with water.

Genesis tells a story of a boat that is supposed to be a little over 1.5 million cubic ft. (even though it would have to be substantially bigger to have held all the animals of the world). You have to assume that after the flood it came to rest on land. Granted it is said to have been 4200 years ago, but a structure of that size would still be around somewhere and you'd think would have been found by now. Is there any explanation of this in the bible?

Do you think he could kick people's aces, or do you think he'd be a wuss? Or perhpas Jesus was an old-school Jason Bourne? Or maybe he was like the dude from Die Hard?

Who would win in a fair fight: "Clark Kent" Jesus or Pontius Pilate?

And considering that the flood covered the highest mountain peek, most animals would impossibly be able to survive in such altitude.

And don't tell me that God intervened with His magic. If He did so, He could've just snapped His fingers and say "Abrakadabra", and skip the whole process.

I was talking about inteligent life with the same capabilities as us and not microscopic ones, i don't care about those. it makes sense to think that they would look like humans and not little green men.

I'm just little, an' I don't hate God. Grampa says some people hate God cause they don't want to think that God owns everything. I think that it's a good thing God owns everything, cause then I know that he can be in charge of all of it. Some people don't know how to be in charge of things, so I think it's smart for God to be in charge.
What do you think?

If he were (and actually existed) he would have made himself known to all ethnic groups and languages at the same time thus demonstrating his universality, all powerfulness and actual Love of mankind by avoiding religious wars.
One message sent to all corners of the Earth at the same time in all languages would have UNIFIED mankind behind one and only religion avoiding wars.

in July 1993....I attend a church in Columbus Ohio USA.I never really talked about or discussed the areas in which I struggled in such as same sex lust or anything like that due to the fact that people would treat me differently if they discovered such matters. After a while attending central teaching and home groups one of the members or males who is a Home Group leader was probing me for information in regards to areas in which I struggle in....I then told him that I struggled with homosexual tendencies as well as other areas of sin....I mean who doesnt. However, most sincere Christians love to gossip and spread all your dirt or nasty things around...and as a result...i sometimes feel that people treat me differently after finding out.My GOD.....what the Hell is up with this????? I mean...I keep things to myself and then people from all around gossip and throw attitude and arrogance out.....I really wish I would have kept my mouth shut....

"The Jewish Life of Christ" It's a Jewish gospel. Check it out at http://www.ftarchives.net/foote/toldoth/tj 1.htm. Or just google up Freethought Archives.

I'd be interested to hear your opinions.

“Satan himself keeps transforming himself into an angel of light.” (2 Corinthians 11:14)
Many will say to me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and expel demons in your name, and perform many powerful works in your name?’ And yet then I will confess to them: I never knew you! Get away from me, you workers of lawlessness.” (Matt. 7:21-23)

are atheist or freethinkers?

Its seems the more educated you are the more you demand proof in-terms of religion? I've heard people in the sciences and humanities dont hold blind or unwavering faith. If they do its mostly a shell of what is faith or religion.

your thoughts?
