hey man,
God is God, the plan has already been written. I believe that the story has been in place since the beginning. I mean God is the creator, He is the future, He is the past, He is everything. I cannot say the evils of man are not of God, because he knows our fate.

If we were to suprise God and change what He has written for us, somehow. Now that would be exciting.

(I think) God gave us free will so we have to deal with the consequences of our decisions and learn (or teach) from them.

...And 9/11 is such a messed up situation, I don't know what really happenned. But I wish people didn't just believe everything that has been fed to them.

To answer your question, God created man ("in His likeness") for a reason. when it was written that we were created "in his likeness" did that mean that we had free will? That we were able to conceptualize things like ant farms where we would be gods ruling over our plastic green universes? Is free will (or the ability to conceptualize it) the deciding factor in our disjointed existence on this planet?
Did god give us this free will so we'd just destroy eachother because of greed, and selfish things?
maybe he's teaching our souls a lesson, maybe he's giving the universe a lesson.
maybe it's already been seen a million times before.

BUT if I were god, my humans would be as obedient as the ants in my ant farm, digging their tunnels and ensuring the continuation of the nest. They would never escape, nor question what is behind the plexi-glass walls. Just accepting the fact that every few days a drop of sugar comes from out there, and every once in a while the whole world gets shaken up real good.
