“Satan himself keeps transforming himself into an angel of light.” (2 Corinthians 11:14)
Many will say to me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and expel demons in your name, and perform many powerful works in your name?’ And yet then I will confess to them: I never knew you! Get away from me, you workers of lawlessness.” (Matt. 7:21-23)

It is scary that Don H. is a top contributor.
When we call on the name Jesus Christ, we are calling on Him, not Satan. These passages mean that Satan tries to get us to twist Scripture around. He also has a fake for every real thing God does. But if your heart is right and you are surrendered to the Lord and pray for discernment, you will be all right.
There are many false teachers out there, especially on TV to just guard your heart and ask for God to reveal to you what is not right. And READ YOUR BIBLE!!! This helps and it will help you so that you are armed when those who falsely come in Jesus' name (Jahovah's Witnesses, Mormans, etc) cannot trick you into their religion.

It is called Spirituality, where individuals seek a piece or form of God without seeking him as he is. Many channel abominations of the flesh because they were never serious about there relationship with and concerning the Christ.

As it speaks, according to the amount of word that you have filled in accordance to your heart the Lord will reward you. The gifts were the reward but they used them to prove themselves as they were. But the knowledge they were far from, so they will have an opportunity to seek him again.

This is the word, because the heart channels its power.

There are many who profess themselves to be Christians and are not. They are false converts. God is the only one who knows the hearts of men and therefore the only one who can tell the true converts from the false.I believe we are living in a time that is producing many false converts. Many preachers preach the warm fuzzy Gospel and neglect to teach the repentance of sin. Jesus said, in His first public message,
" Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand". (Matthew 4:17) Repentance is not optional. It is the first step towards salvation. Even the devils believe and tremble. Simply believeing in Jesus isn't enough. Believe and trust in Him. Turn from your sin and make Him Lord of your life. Then instead of "I never knew you", you can hear "Well done, My good and faithful servant." God bless!!

ETERNAL TRAGEDIES ARE CONCEIVED IN THE WOMB OF PRESUMPTION.

Yes, the possibility is very high as the apostle Paul and Matthew warned.

2Co 11:4 For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.

The
Roman Catholics called upon Jesus (??1.2 billion)
Charismatics called upon Jesus (??650 million)
Jehovah Witness called upon Jesus
Seventh Day Adventist called upon Jesus
Mormons called upon Jesus
Arminians called upon Jesus
Dispensationalists/Rapturist called upon Jesus

........to which all these gospels may essentially be group into one in essence? What is it?

The warning from Matthew 7, is most important. Here we see that the Lord Jesus was concluding the greatest sermon on earth in the history of mankind. Starting from Matt 7:13,
we see

Strait Gate Gospel-preached by true preachers-generates carefulness-building on the Rock

Broadway gospels-preached by wolves in sheep clothing-generates PRESUMPTION-build on sand.

Most of us presumed we are saved. In magnitude, out of 603550 Israelites came out of Egypt (ie male above 20, excl Levites, as in Num 1 &2), only two from the first generation entered the Promised Land. God had called many of us out of our 'Egypt' and we had crossed the Red Sea, alas we are wondering 'in unbelief in our Sinai'; but have we truly crossed the Jordan? Many of us couldn't care, and presumed the crossing of the Red Sea is the same as crossing of the Jordan. It is those of us who presumed we are justified, when we are still far from true justification and true faith.

ETERNAL TRAGEDIES ARE CONCEIVED IN THE WOMB OF PRESUMPTION. The greatest tragedy is when a tares presume to be wheat, goat presuming to be sheep, a foolish presuming to be a wise virgin!

Seek out and read - The Strait Gate, by John Bunyan. May God have mercy to save us.

In ancient Jewish tradition Satan is simply an angel doing the work that God assigned to Satan to do.

The word Satan means challenger. With the idea of Satan challenging us, or tempting if you will. This description sees Satan as the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges. This idea of Satan works closely with God as an integral part of Gods plan for us. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it becomes clear to us that there can be only one meaningful or logical choice.

Contrast this to Christianity, which sees Satan as God's opponent. In Jewish thought, the idea that there exists anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered polytheistic or setting up the devil to be an equally powerful polarity to god or a demigod.

Oddly, proof for The Christian satan/devil mythology is supposedly found in the ancient Jewish texts that were borrowed to create the bible. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Gods assistant Satan in their theology.

Other hints about Satan’s role in human relations can be seen if you look at the name Lucifer. It’s meaning in the original tongue translates as Light bearer or light bringer. Essentially the bringer of enlightenment. The temptations of the Satan idea bring all of us eventually into Gods light. Hardly the Evil entity of Christian mythology.

Because God is perfectly faithful; thus, He would not allow this.

John 16:24 Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.

There is no chance of that happening because demons flee at the very name of Jesus.
