If Jesus came back and visited a church, the crosses would freak him out because in actuality He was not put to death on a cross, but on a tree as stated at Acts 5:30 " The God of our Father raised up Jesus, whome ye slew and hanged on a tree.

Be assured that if JC was to return the last place he would go would be a "christian" church. First - they are about as far as you can get from his teachings, Second, they have become big business feeding on the need to "Spread the (false) word to gather even more money.
Third, they are not what he was used to - open fields where people could gather not ornate buildings designed to satisfy the egos of architects and comepete for first place in design contests.
No, he had a few well placed words about the activities in the temples of his day. He would have more to say bout how badly his teachings have been distorted.
He woudl wonder what these building were for and condem them as blasphemy

@Auntie Anne Arkey... An atheist denys that the Church has idols. isn't that unusual. i don't be responsive to what the version is whilst in India they convey their "God" on their shoulders by using city, and then watch the South American Catholics carry their "Blessed Virgin" by using city on their shoulders. And eu Catholics, and African Catholics do it too. Plus the as quickly as a year scenes interior the information, the place human beings come and kiss the "memory Aide" because of the fact the atheist calls them. might they want those memory aids IF the clerics rather taught the Bible, or inspired them to study the Bible? Edited with yet another concept, from the Bible In a resourceful and prescient God gave Ezekiel, he substitute into shown the older adult adult males waving incense formerly the photos of their communal section around the temple. they might have began this because of the fact the atheist and theist declare as 'seen aids", yet they have been going too a procedures. As for what substitute into going interior the portion of the ladies human beings, they have been mourning Tammuz, the classic Babylonian god of loss of life and rebirth. And what substitute into the "seen help"? it could have been patterned after the preliminary letter of the god's call, a T. So, in that resourceful and prescient those women human beings have been bowing to what we'd see as a flow, crying for this lifeless god, waiting for him to be 'reborn' interior the sprint. Now after exhibiting Ezekiel those issues happening interior the temple, God confirmed his judgment on the rustic, one that could have each and all of the paganized Jews overwhelmed.

I had a revelation much earlier this year that the cross is really a VERY beautiful thing. I was wondering, why do we always have these crosses everywhere? Empty crosses. The empty cross symbolizes "It's already been done!" Jesus is Lord. All glory goes to God. So, we don't glorify the cross, but we definitely appreciate it!

Can't speak for God.I do know that there are no Christian symbols in Scripture.None.No fish or cross or anything else.Speaking of the cross is biblical, but adorning church walls and making necklaces is nowhere to be found in Scripture.

No. Christ Is more pleased with the Christian who sincerely meditates upon His Passion, than anything else.
His Cross was a Victory, not a defeat.

Not just the crosses would freak him out but the form of worship would have him over turning tables and whipping the people out.

Our church doesn't have a cross symbol at the altar, because we worship the Risen Christ. However, He probably wouldn't be happy seeing the gory crucifix in Catholic churches.

Hmm....good point! I never thought of that before.
But since Jesus is no longer physically on earth, the crosses are put in churches to remind Christians of the sacrifice that Jesus made for us when He died on the cross.

Most Christian churches don't have crosses, because those would be looked upon as idols.
