Most people are sheep-like. There are very few people that don't follow an existing path. You may say you follow your own unique path, but if you are a member of society...then you most likely are following an existing path. You may choose to follow a path that is not often traveled, but you are still following something. If you go to school to be educated in a field, you are following an existing path. If you choose to live by the Bible, you are following an existing path. If you choose to be an atheist, you are following an existing path. See, we are all sheep, just have different shepards. And yes, the Lord is mine.

As the little boy said in his Sunday school class when reciting the 23rd Psalm and couldn't remember all of it-"The Lord is my shepherd and that is all I need to know"
Without Him leading and guiding me, I would be lost, hungry, cold, and living in darkness. He provides all that is needed in this life and throughout eternity.

If the Lord is your Shepard and you shall not want, you are a sheep and part of the flock. Most people fall into this category. I do not, yet, I still believe there is a God.

Yes. The Lord is my Shepherd, because:

He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.
He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For God is with me;
His rod and His staff, they comfort me.

God prepares a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
He anoints my head with oil; My cup runs over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days of my life;
And I will dwell in the house of the LORD
Forever.

(Psalm 23)

Yes.

John 3:3 - Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Matthew 10:16 - Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.
