Direct hit on a previous answerer.

Edit:
The codenames have been moved to the footnotes in later editions of the D&C as the social climate has changed and those legal/physical threats are no longer there. Besides, it caused confusion to those reading it.

I'll look into that, I'm sure my Uncle has some info, he's practically a church historian.... But I've never heard of them before - does it say it refers to people or places?

Edit:
Okay, Seeing as it is referring to people, My guess would be that since all parties involved in the issues discussed where they were given code names are dead - there is no point in having them in the sections any more. If you have any other questions, you can email me, and I'll ask my Uncle.

It seems that I read somewhere that those were used as code words to protect the identities of people/places when Joseph Smith was writing the D&C.

I could be totally wrong about that though. And when I searched the church's website I didn't get results for any of those names.

What I have heard about this is that those names were given to the three as a means of protecting their identities during the times when persecution was rampant and Joseph was under constant vigil to avoid being murdered. It was simply a means of protecting their identities.

Brigham youthful by no skill suggested, or taught, that God the father and Mary had a sexual union. How Mary grew to alter into pregnant continues to be a secret. many faiths carry to the three in one million trinity perception. subsequently, while the Bible states that Mary replaced into overshadowed with the aid of the Holy Ghost, those people have faith that ingredient to the Trinity replaced into the father of Jesus. Brigham youthful replaced into preserving that it rather is incorrect, by using fact the Holy Ghost is a separate entity from God the father. subsequently, it somewhat is misguided to declare that the Holy Ghost is the father of Jesus. Edit: Sorry Machinegun Mama. I somewhat have study the Bible many, many situations and it somewhat is does not state that the three in one million trinity. it somewhat is a coaching of the ruling of the Niocene Council, no longer what the classic Christians believed. And, did you study my rationalization? Brigham youthful 'by no skill' taught that the Holy Ghost replaced into the father of Jesus. He taught that God the father replaced into Jesus' Father. “Now submit to in suggestions from this time forth, and constantly, that Jesus Christ replaced into no longer begotten with the aid of the Holy Ghost. i visit repeat a splash anecdote. i replaced into in communication with a definite discovered professor upon this concern, as quickly as I replied, to this theory - “if the Son replaced into begotten with the aid of the Holy Ghost, it may be very risky to baptize and be sure women people, and supply the Holy Ghost to them, lest he would desire to beget babies, to be palmed upon the Elders with the aid of the individuals, bringing the Elders into large problems.” JD one million:fifty one Brigham youthful, April 9, 1852 i've got studied anti-Mormon procedures for over 35 yrs. one difficulty I somewhat have got here across is that many profess to be ex-Mormons while they actually are not. Do you fall into this class, or have been you basically considered one of those individuals who have faith the lies advised proper to the Church without somewhat checking them out?
