How about....
Life is beautiful because it is brief and coincidental, why ruin it by saying it is everlasting and purposeful?
Plus, I have a really good feeling there is no God.

I understand your logic completely, I just don't believe it. Simple as that. You can try and appeal to my emotions, but I doubt you'll be able to conjure much emotion when it comes to denying the existence of God, but give it a shot, I'll listen. I'm one of the few Christians that will listen to others with an open mind and heart, well as long as you're being respectful I'll listen.
[Edit] How can you talk about "the evil acts God committed" when you don't believe in God? That's quite contradicting, is it not?

Sure. Give me an example of evil god did. Because obviously man has no control over their actions and free will is non existant. On top of that, how can you use the very thing you deny as an argument in your favor?

This is a very good question.
How do you counter "Jesus/God/Allah loves you"? Especially when they are saying it to people who are lonely in their lives. No matter how preposterous something may be, when you include "oh, and you get unconditional love", that's too much for some to resist. They'll believe anything to have that in their lives. And that's not only true of religion...some people will completely lie to themselves about the kind of person they are married to because they can't face being alone. It's a very powerful force, and one that is exploited by many religions.

Not understanding logic and thinking logic is not all there is to the story are separate, rational ideas. Not recognizing the difference is itself irrational, ironically.
As Mary Midgley writes, "Belief does not compete with science; it means different things.... science cannot answer some questions. We raise all sorts of questions beyond the material world. Then it's understanding we're after rather than information. These are not questions like 'is there a box on the table?' but questions of inner life, that can't be settled in the lab."

Well, I wouldn't give up just yet. After all, arguing that God has done a lot of evil things is still assuming He exists! Probably you meant "is reported to have done," didn't you?
Fact is, it is mostly about reason and logic that I keep trying to explain my atheism. So abandoning reason and logic would not be . . . well, reasonable. Now would it?

Who do I need to convince?
If we can talk about our feelings while we use logic, perhaps we'll be better understood. Understanding the way the universe works doesn't make it any less beautiful. I think some people are afraid they'll become a robot if they become fact-based thinkers.

Nah, stand on logic, but use emotional appeals every once in a while to show that it's not taking place in a vacuum.
Like those twins growing up without a mother because she wouldn't accept a blood transfusion because she's a JW.

You have the right to believe what you want. Let other people excercise their rights to believe what they want. Why is it a big deal?
Besides, 99% of atheists use dark humor/sarcasm to ask/answer questions, isn't that emotion-based when you are inciting emotion in other people?

Indeed, use all five senses to "discern":
- if it looks kind fishy, and
- if it sounds like horeb-bull, and
- if it smells as pewy as dung, and
- if it tastes both sweet + bitter, and
- if it feels like hell when swallowed, then
chances are it's law: "both good and evil" ends evil.
Also use your sixth sense: common sense:
If it's crap(law: dung), then flush it, rather than
touch, taste, handle what causes all to perish.
Then also use your seventh sense: spiritual sense,
to perish the thought of all perish by u-sing of laws.
The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.
