If Eve was created as a help mate for Adam.... how does this translate to modern times? Women are suppose to help their husbands, have jobs and pay 1/2 the bills, cook, clean, have babies and raise them, pick up after him, tell him he's great, all this stuff....but why are men so crappy to women? Why are they so self absorbed? why did God make them that way? Are they born with giant egos? Why do they feel the need to crush you with their horribly mean mouths? And if you say not all men are like that why have I dated so many of them and all my friends too?

Because that is the type you are attracted to. Don't blame God for the jerks you date. If you want to date different guys, change who you are and what you want. You will start to see things differently and people will see you differently. Until you change you will keep dating the same people with the same results. I'm not saying it's right for guys to be jerks, but we are not all that way. And it is a two way street sweetheart.

I feel sorry for you.
Try singleness. Paul said that those that marry would have tribulation in the flesh -- he was talking to both genders. It is not all one-sided.
Perhaps there also is a tendency to have a country profile! But saying that may not make it better; it could be worse or better.
I think that European women, Scandinavian women have very equal footing with men -- particularly the Swedish perhaps. Or, I am just imagining things.

in 1st Corinthians chapter 7:3 says Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband.Benevolence characterizes the true goodness of the mind and spirit, the unbiased kindness to do good. It confers thought and regard for the welfare of other people, and finds expression in sympathy and kindly gentleness and compassion, with charitableness and kindness. It is the expression of agape love (greek word for unconditional love). if any man doesn't treat their wife's like this then they are disobeying God and it is a sin. the same goes for the woman.

Yes it happened that way but not all women are submissive, just like not all men are good/bad. But say you have the submissive wife, the husband needs to read the next verse and see that the husband is to love his wife as so Christ loved the church. He gave his life for it, so to me that is a lot. But not all men and women conform to this idea, God didn't create us that way it is the way we choose. He has provided His guidance and shows us the way but it is up to us to follow.
