you dont believe in science, science gives you proof. only fairytales require belief. besides, it is quite possible to acknowledge science as containig truth and still believe in god.

Much like any religion, science is a basis for understanding. It is not clearly right or wrong, but certainly has support and opposition. Regardless what anyone claims, there is no way to prove the creation of life. Science is based on assumptions, and theories of the slightly insane, as were the stories of the bible. Is that to say they are wrong? Absolutely not, but it can easily make you question the reality.
The end result is that people believe what they are taught to believe, or choose their beliefs for their own reasons. I have chosen my Agnostic lifestyle due to the fact that there is no absolute. It would seem to me that the truth is somewhere in the gray area between the divisions of belief.
As far as your first people on earth, nobody could ever know. Again it would be based on assumption. You may choose to believe that someone writing the bible actually heard the voice of God, but there have been many "false prophets." People bend the truth all the time, and the belief in a deity does not change that fact. Both science and faith are tested repeatedly and both seem to be true, but as anyone wise would tell you, appearances can be deceiving.
On another note, the human mind is an amazing vessel. The mind has the capability to fabricate anything we thoroughly believe. People believe they see ghosts, when in fact it's often their minds playing tricks. (Not denying the existence of ghosts, however.) The mind has the ability to cure even the worst physical illnesses or disabilities. So, who's to say that God's voice wasn't another fabrication, a voice within their own minds?
Regardless, you base your beliefs on "he said, she said" and cannot verify the validity. Science 'seems' to have a better basis, yet has its faults. So, why bother trying to argue a belief when it cannot be truly proven or disproven? Allow people to believe what they want. Belief is what people use to get themselves through life and they should be entitled to their beliefs. Who knows, maybe somebody who believes that humans are the metaphorical lab mice for aliens is correct.

People believe in science over God because science has a better track record princess.
As you read this answer, you are doing it on a computer provided by science. That computer is contributing to your ability to learn and access information.
You may make the claim that God gave us the bible, but look at the results of that gift. No other book has created more war, family breakups and anger in the history of mankind. Some people find help and comfort in the bible, but if you disagree with those people about their interpretation, then they get very angry.
Science doesn't claim to save people, it doesn't try and make women subserviant to man, it doesn't cause people to become violent. Science only strives to teach us about the world and universe we live in. As a result, it has made life allot better for each of us.
The bible and God teaches that the world will only get worse, and that mankind is sinful and doomed and that Jesus will one day have to come down and start over by destroying everyone but a few faithful followers. This makes religious people behave badly towards others, and the environment, because according to God, the future is bleak.
Science shows us that the future is actually going to be a much better place. I prefer to follow the positive predictions about life, rather than the negative.

How old are you? This is a very childish argument. People believe in science more than god because we are no longer in the dark ages when people had no idea how the world worked. And, I dispute what you say, anyway, because statistics show that about 95% of American people claim to believe in god. This does not, however, stop them from going to the doctor for medications created by scientists, or for having surgeries performed by doctors, not ministers. And if you don't believe in science, what are you doing using a computer? Or did god make those, too?
Edit: I'm relieved to learn you are 12 years old. It's good that you are thinking about things like this, but you should do some reading on both sides of this issue so you can educate yourself. Most likely your ideas come from your parents, and you're just rewording what you've heard them say.

Science, by definition, can only ever deal with the present. The scientific method involves viewing evidence, formulating theories and then repeatedly testing those theories whilst refining them to fit the results.
Science can never deal with questions of how things happened in the past because those ideas cannot be tested. Science can't answer the philosophical questions such as why are we here?
Science and God are not mutually exclusive although some would like to suggest they are. If God is there He is also the author of all genuine science.

I have a lot reasons I consider to be valid ones for not believing in God.
!. Religion reeks of mind control methods
2. Are full of contradiction
3. religion asks me to abdicate logic ,reason and intelligence in general .Science does not.
4. Religious organizations have done horrible things to native people in Canada including acts of mass murder ,brainwashing . Look it up if you don't believe it.
5.I refuse to believe in a God that lets thousands of innocent children suffer and starve to death every day.Science can and has helped them.
6.Most theologians would agree that religion was invented to get people to fight wars and unfortunately it works all too well even today.
7. Weird practices
8. Christanity is largely a plagiarism of egyptian sun god religion.
9 Science has better explanations for how things work and have made a hell of a lot more discoveries in the last thousand years than religion ever has. In fact the Vatican tried to suppress scientific knowledge hence the dark ages.
10. A severe lack of evidence for God's existence
If you know god existed how do you know that ? where is the proof?

Science relies on evidence to support its claims. There is no evidence to support the existence of god. There are lots of religions in the world, all of them claim to be correct. All religions are full of stories like the words that came out of jesus's mouth. In fact many parts of the bible were copied directly out of other religions.
I don't know exactly how humanity came to be, or who the first people were. Evolutionary science is trying to figure those things out. Eventually they will have a definitive answer.

I have a sense that this trend is turning in the other direction.
People do want to believe. But they also want the influence of a more orderly, loving God...
like the one Jesus described in the Parable of the Sower, rather than the Pauline sacrifice for sin God that has been preached for so many decades. That second one doesn't seem to fit the original gospel that Jesus was actually preaching anyway.

That's a very question. As a Christian myself, I used to ponder on that issue but realized through research and studies at Northwestern College (Christian College) that as sinners, and living in a "prove it" world, people NEED proof to justify their thinking and beliefs! I'm just as confused and puzzled as you are as to why people can't see that we did not evolved from monkeys (evolution). It's so simple and right in front of those non-believers eyes, yet they refuse to see it! Can't they see that God created us...all so unique and different! Each and everyone of us has our own DNA, never any two the same. I could write a whole paper on this issue but there isn't enough room. God is so Good! God Bless!

Princess dear, one day when you are older you will realize that a lot of people don't believe in God and do need proof. I know right now you can't imagine that, but it's true. There are scientific answers to your questions about how we were made and who the first people on earth were. I hope some day you are able to study that, but the answer is way too long for YA. For now, don't worry about it too much. Your feelings about this will change lots of times in the years to come.

Hello,
And good morning here in Costa Rica it´s 8.49....
About science and God, i guess that´s due to it´s more easy for people to see a proof than to exercise faith the gift of God. As it´s written:So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10.17
Greetings
Grace be with you
