I respect all faiths equally. But don't you agree it's absurd for a Christian to state, as I have just read in a previous post, that we Jews 'WILL BELIEVE!' in Jesus....?
I know not all Christians hold this attitude, but quite a few seem to. Isn't it insulting to be told that we are going to totally reject our own religion, Judaism, and embrace Jesus as messiah when our faith has an entirely different belief???
I really don't think the person who said this would like it if I insisted that one day he would embrace a totally different belief!

'voice_of' - so you're a neo Nazi? Nice. I'm Jewish. I can't write what I think of you because it would be too offensive for this site. I have great pleasure in blocking you.

AURELIUS, no that is wrong, in fact. Judaism has never claimed to be the 'only true way'. We believe that all righteous people have a place in heaven, no matter what their religion.

to be honest i don't know that much on jeudeism (RE comes in useful after all) and what i do know is pretty bog standard usless to anyone but jews about the laws and that isn't great amount, what i do know is what you mention about the one true faith bit and have great respect for jews. it has been my experience that some christians will tell themselves almost anything to believe they are right even that certain practices such as christmas and easter are originally christian not from other faiths, and that christianity never acted like a parasite copying other traditions to gain worshipers from other movements.
i know this is only some christians and their are christians with a high sense of reason and logic aswell as intelect but sometimes it can be hard to see that when the arrogance is so apparent.

It's a statement that would seem arrogant and bold. However, please keep in mind that we Christians read Revelations that teaches that 12,000 Jews from every Tribe (12 Tribes) will come to know Jesus. I'm not trying to sound arrogant there, I'm only trying to pass on the information that we read. I can though from your prospective it may sound arrogant, harsh and presumptions, but from my perspective, I believe in the Bible (if I didn't I wouldn't be much of a Christian) so I do believe that many Jews will come to know Jesus, but I'm not trying to throw in into your face, saying that all of you will. Nor am I trying to down play your religion. We as Christians are also taught in the Bible never to ridicule Jews and that they are the chosen people, thus ....
voice_: What you said was incredibly rude and uncalled for. And I definitely do not share your point of view.

I'm a Christian and i think whoever thinks that is talking a load of rubbish. We are taught to respect the different religions. And Judaism has very different beliefs as Christinaity focuses very much on the New Testament, whilst that is not in the Jewish Bible. So, basically whoever said that has no idea what they are on about, and that is basically saying that every religion will turn to Christianity.

I missed the original post but it sounds pretty ignorant. First, of how to live in the world with other, different people. Judging others and setting ourselves up as holier-than-thou are things that Jesus specifically condemns.
Second, ignorant of Christian dogma itself. Paul explicitly says that Judaism is a valid religion, that it is still covered by the original covenant despite the fact that we believe Jesus extends to Gentiles and Jews a new covenant. Jewish belief is valid according to the Bible.
I might also ad that Rabbi Hillel said do unto others as you would have them do unto you several years before Jesus said it.

I'm a Christian, and I can't say I would walk around saying that to someone else. I figure God will straighten it all out on His own time and educate EVERYBODY. There are so many branches of Christianity that it seems nobody on earth has it exactly right because we're all imperfect. Everybody's got their own beliefs and people should respect that and not bash.

i just this world is full of racial issues. u were bought up to believe in something u know exists. every person on earth believes in something. we have no right to criticise one another. as long as u know u have a strong faith just believe in it, and thats for all religions and faiths because if they werent true they wouldnt exist.

I understand where you're coming from, but you need to understand their point of view, too. It's not like saying I'm a Cubs fan and all you other sports fans will someday become a cubs fans because we're awesome and you suck. It's a prophecy, a couple of thousand years old prophecy, that they believe will be fulfilled when Jesus returns and every knee, not just Jews and Christians, will bow. From a Christian point of view, it's not insulting, nor intended to be, it's just a reality that will some day occur and they would be irresponsible not to warn you of it so that you have the opportunity to accept Him before it's too late.

Shalom paperback, it's their right to say that. Please don't bother yourself with their words. Anyway, I wanna to share with you that a number of large Christian groups, e.g., Roman Catholics, Lutherans, Orthodoxies, etc. have publicly declared that they will not proselytize the Jewish people anymore.
Here, check these interesting link below.

Unfortunately, there are some "Christians" that hold to a left behind theology in which most Jewish people will be converted at the end times. I used to believe that way, but after studying the bible, I don't see it that way.
God is about relationships. Christ fulfilled all the prophesies about what the Messiah would be. He is our advocate. He restored us back to the Father by His sacrifice, If we believe.
