yes...personally there is only one divine creative energy, but look at all of the religions and different spiritual beliefs....everyone is going to the top of the mountain, we have all just taken different paths....

No one belief is Absolute, for not even in one denomination is there 2 people who see things the exact same way...

just my humble pagan thoughts...

I'm Jewish, so I'll answer it from that perspective. It's not that G-d has multiple personalities, it's that our perception of G-d changes base on our actions.

Let's use a simple example of a parent. If a child generally behaves and does what is expected, if that child gets one poor grade it likely won't be a big deal. But the parent will act differently for a child that generally misbehaves.

In the first G-d acts with the attribute of the Divine Name, what you see capitalized as LORD in many bibles. This is with the attribute of mercy which means reduced ill effects for our actions. (Note: I did not say punishment.) In the second, G-d acts with the attribute of judgement where there is no tempering of the ill effects.

In reality, G-d acts with a measure of both in most times.

G-d is bound by covenants to respond in certain ways to our actions. We call these ways midot, which means measure and is often translated as attribute.

Basically, if we follow the Torah, things will go much better for us than if we don't.

Not as in "multiple personality" disorder as I think you may mean. But if you mean multiple facets to His personality, yes, very much. The Old Testament includes many names for God that were applied depending on how He manifested Himself at that time. If you study the Hebrew word origins you can see this. (Some churches do whole study series on the Names and Character of God, and I have seen churches with banner ministries visually display renderings of these characteristics in worship centers.)

The idea of the Trinity that is so hard to comprehend can kind of be looked at in this way. God the Father is one "aspect" or manifestation of the Triune God; Jesus Christ, the Son, the Lamb of God, the Messiah, God in the flesh, is another; the Holy Spirit, the Comforter is yet another.

It's pretty hard to wrap our finite minds around the infinite character of a divine God, but studying these characteristics as He has revealed them in His Word (as well as in our personal experience) can help us to get glimpses of Him.

I included a couple of links to studies online of the Names of God--the second one is the first of a whole series of lessons available on www.freegrace.net

No. the concept of "God" is not human, is unflawed and can have no human qualities that we can even conceive of. Any relation of our feeling, actions or problems associated wih having a brain and/or mental disposition are irrelavent to God. The catholic/Christian perception of God is one that is used strictly for the relation of people, for the compliance of the masses. In reality, God is actually unrelatable. On God, and multiple personality seek out "The essential Jung."

It is important to read the Bible and know God through His Word.
Many people who say they are athiests, when asked about God, give the popular culture mythology version of God: all-knowing, all-controlling, all-loving, benevolent to all. That is not Biblical.
Zephaniah, 3/8: "Wait until the day that I rise up to the prey; for my determination is to gather the nations, that I may assemble the kindgoms, to pour upon them mine indignation, even all my fierce anger, for all the earth shall be devoured with the fire of my jealousy."

Mind you if he appeared to men/women (alright go with it hehehe) at the same time would he not have to appear differently and speak in their own language otherwise how would they know it was god, which is stupid since in the times of christ(alledged) we know it was a localized idea not country wide or internationallly recognised...
I usually hear that those with multiple personalities tend to be the one claiming to hear gods word, usually as they shoot up a high school.....peace... what was that? oh the voices say I have to go make a cup of coffee hehehehehehehe

Well? God the Father, Son & Holy Spirit. Though they are One LORD. They each have their own personality. But they are very united and don't contradict each other. They are One.
