My question is this; What will you say when you stand before God, and He asks you why you're like you are? If you're not a believer, just do your best. Please.
Believers will say something to the effect of "I'm a disciple of Christ."
I am just curious what unbelievers will say. I know you don't believe, but can you pretend, and give some thought to it, and give an answer?

I am not good at pretending so I will answer it this way.
If I ever come to stand before the Great Spirit and am asked to explain myself I will reply. "I have done my best to be humble, to help those I've met, to preserve our Earth. I have respected all life and taken no more than I need. I walked gently upon this Earth as to leave no footprint behind me. And I leave the Earth a better place than it was when handed to me. I share my knowledge with all that asked. I have lived an honest life and ask nothing from you now. I now gladly accept my place among the ancestors as a protector and guide to those that follow me on Earth."

Why I'm like I am? What's wrong with the way I am? I haven't done anything criminal! I have nothing to be ashamed of! I'm a great person! Whether I believe in a god ... or NOT!

I would tell him that I am how I am because that's how everything around me has made me. I am how I am because my life has dictated so and I cannot go against what experience has shown me to be true. And I would apologize for being ignorant because I know I am; I am human and incapable of being anything else.

I would say that I have worked as hard as I could, to develop morally and spiritually, to become the person I am before you. I have done you proud, in my openness to all good spiritual ideas and inspiration, I could find. I also represented you in a better light, than most people or religions have. I know that you are a good and moral God, and have appreciated my efforts, to do as you have inspired me to do.
