They seem to feel very stronly that their gut feeling is a better gut than anyone elses. There is absoluely no proof whatsoever either way. But my gut feeling is that no one sat down on a stump thousands of years ago and said "I think I will write some bulls#@* and screw up the future world just for the fun of it. Then thousands of years later a person who believes it is a myth is talking about the garden. Come on guy.

Why do theists like to believe the gods made the world to serve humans?
Why do even (some) atheists like to believe that evolution's purpose was to create homo sapiens, the perfect species?

Why do we think we are above nature, when in fact we are products of nature, are killed by nature, and need nature to survive? Why do we think we can destroy nature, when destroying earth's biodiversity will be fatal for all life - including us?

We are acting out a mythology. We are born into it, and we all add to its destruction. Is anyone else disturbed about this?

Creationism is an alternative theory to evolution. So what is the theory. How does it explain the observed evidence such as fossils, carbon dating etc. and how does it compare to evolution a theory which I thought was perfectly good by itself.

what if we were considered the "mess-up" of god's creations? like he made us and we were so messed up and unfixable that he just made another place. perhapps heaven is his better creation. and that angels are the better species. thats why the world has gone to hell because god has just forgot us. he knew aventually we would start wars with every person weve ever met and now the only thing keeping us from kill every life organism is the thought of us going to heaven. idk tell me what you guys think. could it be a possibility? or am i just letting my imagination run free?

What purpose would well-established Biologists and Archaeologists have in lying to us about evolution?

What do you think they would hope to gain?

Why do you feel that people showing factual evidence to support a theory are not only LYING- but spending VAST amounts of money and research time to do so?

For what PURPOSE are they lying?

If you are jewish, and your spouse/significant other, wanted to get a tattoo symbolizing their beliefs (a cross, or a word that meant something to them), would you be opposed?

i am a christian, and i want to get the word beloved tattooed on my wrist in hebrew... my significant other, however, is jewish, and feels that it would be wrong of me to do so, as he feels its idolizing jesus (which... as a christian... i love jesus and believe he was god... so it isn't wrong really, in my eyes), and so he thinks it would be a sin for me to do so.

how would you feel in a similar situation?

I was just reading an article on Wikipedia titled "Demographics of Atheism" and came across this fact:

"Interestingly, several state constitutions make the protection of persons from religious discrimination conditional on their acknowledgment of the existence of a deity. These state constitutional clauses have not been tested. Additionally, some state constitutions (namely, Arkansas, Pennsylvania, South Carolina and North Carolina ) forbid atheists from holding public office..."

What action can I take to become proactive in fighting against this law?

It should be stated as "the father, the son, the holy ghosts".
Marc Antony, and Augustus/Jesus were both albinos. So was Cleopatra. She was omitted from the triune because she grabbed the coveted "virgin" position which left a duality of deity. Cleopatra, who Revelation 17 calls a whore, wanted the virgin position as any nice clean cut whore would.

It seems that from a young age, children can not fight and just listen to what they are told and religious parents put it in their brain from a young age. Do you agree or disagree?

I looked both verses up with the NASB version.

It always seems like the new doesn't match the old...

Romans 11:26

and so all Israel will be saved; just as it is written, "THE DELIVERER WILL COME FROM ZION, HE WILL REMOVE UNGODLINESS FROM JACOB."

Isaiah 59:20

"A Redeemer will come to Zion, And to those who turn from transgression in Jacob," declares the LORD.

To quote a site:
http://www.jewsforjudaism.org/web/handbook/s_refuting.html

"The Messiah's role is not to take away our sins; rather, when we turn away from our sins, the Messiah will then come! It is also noteworthy that many New Testaments translate this verse correctly in Isaiah and incorrectly in Romans."

Thoughts?

Hello all! I pray that you are all doing well this afternoon! As the old adage goes, when life gives you lemons, make lemonade! Life has surely given me a lemon over the past few days! Life always changes, but God never changes. He is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. How awesome is that?
As I was reading today, God truly used His Word to encourage me.
Your heavenly Father already knows all your needs, and He will give you all you need from day to day if you live for Him and make the Kingdom of God your primary concern. So DON'T WORRY ABOUT TOMORROW, FOR TOMORROW WILL BRING IT'S OWN WORRIES. TODAY'S TROUBLE IS ENOUGH FOR TODAY. Matthew 6:32-34
Isn't it amazing how much practical and common wisdom is in the bible?
We are God's masterpiece. Ephesians 2:10
You are a masterpiece. Gods piece de' resistance. I don't think I spelled it right, but you know what I mean. How awesome!
Continue in your faith, established and firm. Colossians 1:23
