I mean, that's a lot of resting when you think about it. Humans have, for thousands of years, had to work all seven days scrounging food, slaving to build pyramids, fighting wars, raising families, you know, stuff.

Shouldn't god have got up off the couch and done something meaningful on the seventh day?

have you heard of the band KoRn? well they used to have an amazing guitarist, until one day he decided to become a christian and leave the band, from then on they have never been the same.

how would christians feel if jesus came back so that he could join a rock band, of how would catholics feel if the pope decided to quit to be in a band.

do you agree that religion gets in the way of things when there is no reason to?

"A man's ethical behavior should be based on sympathy, education, and social ties and needs; no religious basis is necessary. If people are good only because they fear punishment and hope for a reward, then we are a sorry lot indeed."

This is a quote of one of the smartest men ever to walk the planet: Albert Einstein.

It is good to know that I have been paraphrasing Einstein for quite some time without even knowing it.

You'd think that person was crazy.

But you can't prove your Bible is the truth any more than anyone can about any book.

You illustrated this for me in my last question, when I asked if the Bible is compelling enough on its own, without being promoted by others, to convert atheists.

An all-powerful God could have created it in one day, or in less than one second. Why did he stretch it out? Was He pasing himself? Besides, since He created time also, and the spinning of the Earth (that's what determines a "day")... none of this 6-day stuff makes much sense.

Original people were not given birth to, so no need for a belly button, and if they were created in God's image, does that mean that God had a belly button?

And a little off the topic, but if God created Mand and Woman in his image, then how did he know how to make a woman a woman?
