Because God Hates Figs.

If He did it means He could make a tree die within a day simply by speaking it out of existance. I am sure He the Creator could create a forest of trees in a day simply by speaking it just like He did in Genesis 1. Your logic fails once again and inevitably you fall in your own trap, (just like the Bible says). You claim not to believe in Jesus but you try to disprove Him. Why disprove something that doesn't exist? Ever thought that naturally over time people will get the idea that it's useless believing in nothing? The fact remains that Jesus is ALIVE, and you can't deal with it ... cause if you could, you wouldn't careless what He did or didn't do

Study: Temperate Forests Could Worsen Global Warming

Science Daily — Growing a forest might sound like a good idea to combat global warming, since trees draw carbon dioxide from the air and release cool water from their leaves. But they also absorb sunlight, warming the air in the process.

Stop bagging Jesus Cat.
Now I've heard it all !
You go on and on with these questions!
Do you not know that Jesus was entombed after his Crucifixion?
If he really wanted to destroy this world he would of started the ball rolling (pun intended) and put it in his will that he wished to be cremated after his death.
Cremation is a leading source of carbon emissions.

Wow.... Some people just don't get it.

It's in Mark 11:12-14.

Jesus was hungry. Seeing in the distance a fig tree in leaf, he went to find out if it had any fruit. When he reached it, he found nothing but leaves, because it was not the season for figs. Then he said to the tree, "May no one ever eat fruit from you again."

Its not the season for figs, SO JESUS KILLS THE FIG TREE. Thats kind of like smashing your TV because your favorite show isn't on, when its not time for your show.

A preson that acts like that is called a JERK.

A dead tree doesn't contribute to global warming. It does, however, contribute to mulch for other trees to grow.

Well, if you think on those lines then the Jews hate trees and contributed to GW because they hung him and others on big wooden crosses. What's next, Bush hates the planet? *rolling eyes*

He cursed a tree! it died! and 2000 years later, now we see the effect of global warming!
Hmmm.

Are you saying he is so powerful that by just cursing a tree, he caused global warming! 2000 years later.
Who is your science teacher! He/She should be fired.

your funny

it was a lesson.

the fruit tree was not barring any fruit...it was with holding all its sources...so to speak.

the lesson was, if you have knowledge and you refuse to teach or share, you too will die, from with in.

the tree died from with in when Jesus cursed it. when that happened, the tree could not stand to live.

i don´t think i am a very good teacher, but the point is, to share knowledge :)

I don't think he considers this "his planet". Most christians will say that "They are visitors, just passing through the world on their way to heaven" (which proves that they're aliens!! 0_0). The destruction of that tree (or all the trees!!) is not his concern.
