then does that mean it should be illegal for atheists to get married?
How come there are no laws for that?

Straight people get life threatening illnesses all the time, including AIDS. I don't see your point here.

Mim- That doesn't make any sense. An atheist doesn't even believe in god. You didn't answer my question.

I've always thought the "sanctity of marriage" was an absurd argument. Many marriages are based on money. Many spouses cheat. Many end in divorce.
There is no "sanctity of marriage." It's a farce.

No. Although I believe it would help quite a bit, you do not need to have faith for your marriage to contain the virtues necessary for a marriage to honor God. It can certainly be done by accident. Homosexuality does not meet those requirements to begin with. That being said, it would not surprise me if there are a lot of atheist marriages that do not honor God. Then again, I'm sure there are a lot that do.

The sanctity of marriage is a most intensely personal thing. The churches and mosques forget this in their drive for control.

I do not know whee you are coming from. Marriage is between man and woman and is a solemn Oath it's purpose is to bring children into this world or companionship if the couple are older. It does not need a religion. Gay contracts are not marriage and only a tax dodge brought in by a gang of politicians most of whom are probably homosexual

it does undermine the sancity of marriage and you don't usually find atheists getting married under God's law and his churches. Which is what the homsexuals are trying to do.

We should all be treated the same, Atheist, gay, black, white or religious. LOVE does not discriminate, religion does.
