Original people were not given birth to, so no need for a belly button, and if they were created in God's image, does that mean that God had a belly button?
And a little off the topic, but if God created Mand and Woman in his image, then how did he know how to make a woman a woman?

I would think what God looks like would be a good thing to add in his word... He'd know that a lot of people would fight and argue over what he looked like and could have just put a stop to it by just telling you.

I think that we can't possibly understand the creation of original man because God created them in perfection, something we cannot possibly understand since we aren't perfect. I think that only Adam and Eve can truly know what it was like to be created in the image of God (God the Trinity).
As for God, He in omniscient, to wonder whether He has a belly button or is just silly.

It does make sense they had no belly buttons since they did not have an umbilical cord and being in the womb for nine months! Then again how can you explain in a logical way something like religion? You believe it or not , you either have faith or not. I think the story of Adam and Eve is symbolic .

1. Yes. The whole universe is born out of the lotus stem which sprouted from the navel of the Lord. The navel of the Lord is so deep and coiling that it appears that the whole universe again wants to withdraw into the navel, being attracted by the Lord's beauty. The Lord's navel and the ripples on His belly always increase the beauty of His bodily features.
2. Because God is never alone, He lives eternally in His own abode in the spiritual world, and everything we see here in the material world is just a reflection of the original spiritual world. So God obviously, has His eternal female companion. Because He is always enjoying, and His enjoyment is His internal potency of love manifested in form of a woman.

Well first of all Adam and eve did not have belly buttons. There is not a reason for them to have one. A belly button is a scar from birth and since they were not birthed they were created then they would not have a belly button.

1) I'm fairly sure that Adam and Eve (as portrayed) wouldn't have had belly buttons.
2) Not sure how he knew, but VERY GLAD he shaped 'em the way he did! (Actually, female is the default gender. A fetus doesn't become male until washed over with testoserone (sp?) in utero, so it can be said that man was created from woman!)

You are presuming GOD to be a male.
When God created he created Life in pairs or a system for procreation and so it can be presumed the first ones created wherever had these belly buttons too otherwise when their offspring's would have had them it could disturb them.

I believe God would have a bellybutton.
But as far as concerned, he/she is OMNIPOTENT. If were to create Adam and Eve to be in his likeness, it would mean we are God/Goddesses because of him/her.
It wouldn't MATTER to him what he would/could look like. He can look like anything even like poop(but really doubtful about why would he do that)
He/she took a random guess to make a man and a woman.

Since Jesus was slain from the foundation of the world, then Jesus was at creation. When you get to heaven, ask God these questions because God didn't think they were important enough to take up space in His Word, the Holy Bible.

Don't know about the belly button thing but in his imagne doesn't neccesarily mean in the visual accept that we think of it and in the bible it says that man is another word for masculate and women is another word for feminie.
What you need to do is understand the meaning of the words in thier orginal text.
PS: OUR IMAGNE is referring to the trinity: The father, The Son and the Holy Ghost.
