When it seems like everything is falling apart how do you keep a positive mind?

In this verse it mentioned "children of God" and "children of devil". the word Children does not litterally mean children as we understand today, for example, if a priest call you by the name "my son", that doesn't mean that you are his real son, but it's more as a spiritual relationship. but the word children of God means the follower of God or the servents of God.. and the Bible has many translator errors and these errors have mislead many.

In this the children of God are manifest, and the CHILDREN OF DEVIL: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.
1 John 3:10

Peace to you.

d yourself by killing these 'damned' people(though i believe this would itself be an act of 'treason of faith' against the FATHER who deems faith always) to save your family from going to the camps for marking or death?

I read this comment in an article regarding a local Presbyterian church which is joining another more conservative denomination.

"In his sermon on sin and forgiveness, the Rev. Howard spoke of the Reformation movement that Martin Luther started in the 16th century. In Luther's day, he said, the problem was that the church and culture stressed sin to the virtual exclusion of grace. The problem now, he said, is that sin is given so little weight that it's hard for people to feel the need for salvation through Christ."

This makes it sound like they have to make peope feel more sinful in order for them to need the Church. Isn't that guilting people into belonging?

Any comments?

Is there a scriptural basis for the Christian belief that Adultery is a far worse sin than Child Molestation?

They must believe it. Why else would they want a President removed from office for cheating on a wife they hate even more than they hate him?

And why else would they sell off Church Property, right out from under the Congregations who paid for and were using it in order to satisfy judgements against molesting priests, while doing everything in their power to shield priests and Church friendly politicians from prosecution--including, as one Bishop in Delaware did, asking Congregations to pray for the defeat of stronger molestation laws?

peace to you, please don't tell me they are equal because i will show you enough evidence that it's not:

john 14:28 reads--
" .......BECAUSE THE FATHER IS GREATER THAN I AM"

But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.
Mark 13:32

Jesus answered, If I honour myself, my honour is nothing: it is my Father that honoureth me; of whom ye say, that he is your God:
John 8:54

And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.
Matthew 19:17

1st commandment: you shall not take other gods before Me! (God)

Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me
John 7:16

"Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. Deuteronomy 6:4

"my God! my God! why haven forsaken me!"

You denied God while you know it.

I do ...... The idea of heaven, is a comforting thought. The concept of hell as gruesome as it is would make life more meaninful - after all we would be in realization that we are going to a greater plane of existence after death. However, my subjective desire of wanting an afterlife and the objective fact of what happens when we die are two seperate things. Dying, is like using the restroom there`s nothing faboulous about it. We will all cease to exist one day. Do you wish there was an afterlife?

If I understand correctly, one of the tenents of responsible travel is that we don't come in with the attitude that we Westerners are superior and that the developing countries we visit should try to be more like us. Instead of this, responsible travel tells us to respect the country we go to and to try and learn from them.
One of the things, I presume, that we would want to learn about is religions that are different from our own. Religion is a very big part of culture, and learning from a different religion means that you have learned a lot about their culture.
If this is true, does that mean that it is impossible for a missionary to be a responsible traveller?

Some religions teach that there are "many paths to the top of the mountain". It would seem that most of our society and most professing Christians believe this as well.

Does the Bible support this? If so how? Please use scriptures to prove your point.

if you believe we are equal, why it seems like women are trying so hard to compete with the man?, or do the jobs that a man does just to say "look at me, men aren't the only one doing it!".

Are we really equal? in reality, aren't we different physically, mentally and emotionally? if we are equal why a man has to open the door for women? why men are more required to join the army in many countries in the world, why men are more responsible on paying child support? is your mother is like your father?, would you be worry for your son more than your daughter? who gives birth? .... are we really equal on reality? or it's only on paper just to shut people up?

Do you know the plan God has for you? Why do you keep rejecting it and giving into temptations?

2007-09-10 02:51:40 · 29 answers · asked by Saved by Grace 3

No you didn't used to be a Christian. You simply deceived yourself for a while and now you finally see that you aren't one.

People on here say, "Yeah, I used be a Christian. I even taught Sunday School but I woke up." Well, sitting in a garage doesn't make you a car and sitting in church doesn't make you a Christian. Knowing a couple of Bible stories doesn't make you a Christian either. Even Satan can quote you some scripture.

Do you agree?

Atheism seems to be fastest growing religion in usa,
growing twice as fast as roman catholics diminishing.

I find many good points about atheism, such as:
- thinking is allowed, even required, to learn
- somebody ought to challenge those x-ians
- nobody likes being condemned, to hell

I also find many bad points about atheism, such as:
- no god at all, so stuck with the system, law thereof
- law vs law is as loser vs loser every way looked at
- and perhaps they overlooked what Einstein said:

Einstein: about science and religion:
"Science without religion is lame.
Religion without science is blind."

Science: only thing common to man ww is legend of ww flood.
Science: there's no evidence of ww flood. It never happened.
Bible: it's "allegory" & "mystery" written aforetime for "learning"

Two Religion(s), God(s) thereof, compared in Bible:
- IMPure religions: arrived defiled, then got worse-end.
- Pure religion: arrived undefiled, remained unspotted.

Is that not ridiculous to know that the christians still go to the church to worship Jesus and they consider him as god??

that is sooo ridiculous and wierd but why do they do so?

Next they would try to by any how prove that they are right and jesus is god... when the whole explaination is narrowly defined and sounds unpleasent and unaccepting..

I wanna know that after all this and moreover the STRESSED and OPEN and LOUD explaintion in the Quran...

"THAT JESUS WAS NEVER A GOD AND HE WAS NEVER TO BE WORHSIPPED". And it clarifies that he was the Prophet of the Great Glorious God, the Most Powerful.

Yet why do the christians do wat even christ never offered them to do.. and the Quran clearly explains their situation thoroghly in a broader sense as one of the MISGUIDED.

Note:- This Question is posted not in the sense to hurt the sentiments of the christians but to offer them a view of truth that the god in their own holy scriptue "bible" wants them to do.
