by the way, if it's not okay, can you give me one good reason to like this so that I can think about it?

Here's one good reason not to hate them or anyone else. Hate will destroy YOU ultimately -- not them. Good luck.

I think "hate" is too strong a word. Also, it makes you better if you don't emulate their flaws.

I don't hate them so much as I wonder what their problem is. Like, I was raised a Christian and the Christ I was taught about, and still love, was a very peaceful man full of compassion and understanding for everyone around him. He made a point of rounding up the most despicable human beings he could find and turning them into his disciples.

I mean, really, if Christians were living the example set forth for them by Jesus, they'd be at the forefront fighting for gay marriage and adoption, not spreading hate propaganda against it.

Hate the self-righteous attitude.
You never know--if they dropped off their high horses for a bit you might come to like the person they are inside.

"Hate" is an awfully strong word. I would have to say that, no its not okay to hate, really , anyone.

Disagree, yes! Dislike, yes. Personally (and I'm Christian myself) I find, especially, tele-evangelists distasteful. And I also believe that heavy-handed fundamentalists have done a fair amount of damage to the aggragate "Christian" church.

But, I can't "hate" them.

Regards

It's never okay to hate, you can disagree and disapprove but hatred is something one should never apply casually it is the most extreme passionate dislike and for that we need very profound reasons, even then it is best to try to overcome feelings of hatred and stay rational and try to find a solution to the problem.

i dont think that it is ok to "hate" anything. There is nothing worth hating but hate itself.
I don't think that we have to like everyone, but we do need to develop a certain amount of tolerance and acceptance and allow people to be happy in their own way, and not in ours.

i hope you find what it is you seek.

If you think it's ok to hate anyone, I guess that's as good a reason as hating them because they're black, or female, or soccer-players. Personally, if I were you, I'd rethink the "hating" thing all together.

hate breeds hate. if you allow hatred to grow in your soul, it will fester. meditate on your feelings and disperse the hatred. you don't have to love them, but hating them makes the next group to irk you easier to hate. before you know it, you'll be a terrorist.

another thing is that hating them gives them power over you, they can incite a reaction in you because you allow hatred to control your reactions. you'd be much better off to disperse all emotion for them. then you can interact with them on from a superior emotional position. they will still be controlled by their fervor, but you can deal with them coolly.

I would pity them.

Since they are always telling me how much they pity me and pray for my soul, I figure I should return the favor. I KNOW I'm having more fun than them. It's sad to see them use their lives preaching in judgment of others, trying to make everyone else into their clones and saying that's the only way to be happy.

What a waste of potential. They could be curing cancer, if they weren't wasting resources fighting gay marriage and trying to disprove evolution.

no you can't. I know it's tempting, but you can't hate them.
If you hate them, you are giving them power over you.
They are mislead, but we are ALL creatures of God's creation.

Be tolerant of everyone, even the intolerant. They are learning important life lessons and the only reason we are here is to learn. Say, God bless and send them on their way.
