In some ways we can test Him. The Bible says "Taste (test) and see that the Lord is good". This means we can check out His word and know that He does and will do what He tells us.
The kind of test that we are not suppose to do is to try and manipulate Him to do what we want to do. A child may test their parent to get a toy. They may try (test) being nice, they may try crying, or screaming or what ever, to test their parents resolve in not getting that toy for them right now.

I find that God likes me to test him. I test his patience all the time! Good thing he loves me so much or I'd be in a world of hurt (:->)

God does ask to be tested in the area of Titheing this is the only thing he asks to be tested on in the bible
Mal 3:10 Bring your full tithe to the Temple treasury so there will be ample provisions in my Temple. Test me in this and see if I don't open up heaven itself to you and pour out blessings beyond your wildest dreams.

An atheist would respond that it's not God who doesn't like to be tested. It's theologians.

One area says don't test him, the other says test him. (Lovely words of a CLEAR bible...yeah, ok)
I remember that we were not suppose to test him when I was a christian. Now I see that it is because you know he is going to fail because he does not exist.

He gets nervous during tests and destroys the world out of frustration. He also gets sweaty palms that flood the earth.

What gives you that idea.
God Himself said,'try me and see if I don't pour out upon you a blessing you can not contain".
