Ignorance is bliss. All people are ignorant, each and everyone
of us are ignorant to many things. No one knows everything.
Ignorance to danger is the best ignorance there is, as it helps us to not be afraid of what may or may not happen.
Most people know that there are enough nuclear weapons in the world today to destroy the entire world a hundred times over. This could happen at any time. But being ignorant to the fact that it could happen, we go along happily with our lives as if these weapons do not exist and that a nuclear war will never happen.

The ignorance comes from their past - not learning anything in school, the bliss is in their present in not knowing how ignorant they are, the problems come in their future when reality catches up to the 'not knowing' whats going on.

well think about it, those who choose to be ignorant, and yes I use the word choose. They don't seem to miserable with their lives. They are set in their ways and believe that their way of thinking is right. Those who try to learn, and keep an open mind, alot of the times discover things that are really disheartening. Like people who are prejuidce, to me it is so disheartening to find that their is still so much hate, and no mater what you try to do to change it, to educate people it doesn't change. And thats just one example. Look at politics, religion, loss of values, recent trends. The more you learn, the more you want to try to change the more you realize its getting worse. Of corse your not as happy, you don't live your life with tunnel vision.

Because they are ignorant of reality. If they were aware of reality, they'd panic.
Reality is not intended for any purpose and it is all generally chaos-based. Being ignorant of this fact might just cause happiness?

ignorance isnt exactly bliss...its just easier for some to not acknowledge certain things..
