I mean, look at Mithraism, look at Horus, whom people worshiped for as long as Jesus has been worshiped. Dead.

The internet is a miracle! Giving people the opportunity to find out that Jesus never existed, even in the face of attempts by ancient Historians like Eusebius, (who admitted to forging accounts of Jesus in history) and Josephus, whose accounts are highly suspect, as well as Tacitus. We should see tons of historical accounts of Jesus, but there are reliably, none.
Not to mention, Astrology, where the gospel story is all laid out and obvious, 2012 is the beginning of the Age of Aquarius, where reason takes over faith, Evolution now occurs in laboratories (There is no "macro/micro evolution - just evolution), psychology perfectly explains mankinds tendencies towards mythmaking and how people's so-called, "relationship" with Jesus is nothing more than a response to natural angst and insecurity. Atheists outnumber people of faith in Britain now, it's happening everywhere!

How many Catholcs understand the sum and summit of our worship?
I wash SHOCKED in an earlier question to see how many Catholics thought that the Bread and Wine were just "symbolic" of Christ's Body and Blood. It is NOT. That is a protestant belief, not Catholic. It is at the core of the Catholic faith that when the priests speaks the words of Christ over the bread and wine that they are NO LONGER bread and wine, but are now the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Christ, under the appearance of bread and wine. That is the doctrine of "Transubstatiation".
Here is a link to an explanation of "Transubstatiation":
http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/05573a.htm#3

"Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, you have no life in you; he who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day" (John 6:53–55).

Learn your faith! Are their any Catholics out there who DO understand this?

Would you be disfellowshipped today from the Watchtower, if you believed and taught the Society’s doctrines of 1920?

I have to read Tillich's book called Dynamics of Faith, for my religious studies class. I read so far 30 pages out of around 150. So far I found it completely confusing, and I think I didn't get anything out of it so far. But I have to read it and write an essay about it for tomorrow. Generally it wouldn't be a problem for me but this book is really confusing for me because I have never read a religious book. I would have to write about was the author successfull in attempting to give psychological justification for the reasonableness of religious faith. Does anyone has an idea what should I write about; like would it be ok if i write that the book is completely confusing, or perhaps the problem is my inability to understand such topic?

I'm looking for a church in DeKalb, IL. Most of them seem a little conservative for me despite the fact I was raised Lutheran. My boyfriend and I are college students but I don't want a typical "college" church because we're looking for a place to get married. Also, since most the churches I come across only have a service at 9am on Sunday, are there any good churches with alternative times (later on Sunday, Saturday, midweek...). We're willing to drive to Sycamore or another surrounding community. Thank you.

Atheists, Christians, Muslims and Jews - forget everything you thought. Your beliefs are wrong. Akash Bhairab delivers when he's asked. At last we can have a single world religion.

If so, are atheists therefore underrepresented by the (non-digital) popular media?

If so, is that a bad thing?

Other southern states may be even more moronic, but they don't impart the electoral votes to jack everything up the way Texas does.
