I think Sir Paul's services to music has been outstanding and he is still really down to earth and humble, he personifies all that it means to be British.

You might think; the sum of you who judge me according to what you don't know, that God has only had me speak openly to you all because he wanted to use me for only a period and then like bad salt that He spoke of through me away. Well see my agenda was a lot more then you may think. I have not just come to say this because I want to be full of myself: no I otherwise say these thing because I want you who do not know the Lord to know Him; that you may be called sons of God. Because it was not my was not my desire first off for you to be rescued but God's. And that is why you should thank Him. 1 Corinthians- 1:4- I always thank God for you because of his grace given you in Christ Jesus. 5For in him you have been enriched in every way—in all your speaking and in all your knowledge— 6because our testimony about Christ was confirmed in you. 7Therefore you do not lack any spiritual gift as you eagerly wait for our Lord Jesus Christ to be revealed.

"Religion is based . . . mainly on fear . . . fear of the mysterious, fear of defeat, fear of death. Fear is the parent of cruelty, and therefore it is no wonder if cruelty and religion have gone hand in hand. . . . My own view on religion is that of Lucretius. I regard it as a disease born of fear and as a source of untold misery to the human race."

Once guilt is created in you, you are in the clutches of the priest.
You cannot escape now because he is the only one who can clean all the shameful parts of you, who can make you capable of standing before God without being ashamed.
He creates the fiction of God.
He creates the fiction of guilt.
He creates the fiction that one day you will have to stand before God: so be clean and be pure, and be in such a state that you can stand before Him without any fear, and without any shame.

Entertaining the possibibity that there is one in the first place, why would God let you suffer for eternity due to being tricked by the devil? Wouldn't it be far more humane just to make you not exist anymore? Honestly, if given the choice, would you take Hell or non-existence?

Some religious people on here are annoyed when an Atheist asks a question that starts with the word "if". For example, "if God is all powerful...", "If Jesus walked on water...". These are called hypothetical questions, and are legitimate to ask. In fact, to ask a question ASSUMing that God exists makes an A_S_S of U and Me. So, to assume God exists when asking a question is worse than asking a legitimate hypothetical one. If you are going to assume God exists, why ask the question?

In fact, "if" is a part of an "if-then" statement in logic, which believers have a particular problem with. Atheists rely on deductive logic/reason which use if-then statements, while believers abandon reason and rely on faith instead.

I don't believe in God making His power as a Creator, Sustainer & Destroyer of this Universe as a fear tool for coercing people to follow the path laid out in the religious texts. It is out of Love, He set those rules for us. I believe, it should be out of Love for Him that we should follow them. I frequently see people quote verses like as though God says to do this & that, so do it or you shall be severely punished for it. He gave us freewill to choose between bad & good & to do good out of Love for Him & not out of fear or repercussions from Him. Your genuine opinions, please?

Lately a few christians have told me that the world itself is evidence of God. that the complicity of the world and humans and everything proves there is a God. But there are an infinite number of possiblities as to why this is. Why does it have to mean a God? Couldn't it very well be that things turned out this way because if they hadn't we wouldn't exist? we could have been something else altogether, i suppose, and we just happened to turn out the way we are. and the way the world works, while it seems complicated, may really just be the only way it could work.

Who... are the IGNORANT BREATHERN... ?

Are they THOSE.... that 'think that' they Know More than GOD?

IS it the Christian... that Knows About GOD... and does Not Really... KNOW GOD!

Do those... IGNORANT.... DO THIS...?

(Romans 10:3) For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.

Does Murphy's law rule the realm of possibility, or is God the ruler? Why does Murphy's law only talk about negativity? Couldn't we remove the 'wrongs' from the equation and still have a valid theory?

Murphy's Law:
"Whatever can go wrong, will go wrong."
