I think Paul is a great human being. He's very generous and down to earth. He's made a success out of his life. He raised some nice kids.
And even though I don't agree with some of his causes, at least he's passionate about something that matters to him.
He's a doer, not a talker. I'd vote for him as the greatest living Briton.

The members of Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden and Judas Priest if we are speaking musically.

For the actual greatest Briton I would vote for Sir Winston Churchill.

He wrote Mull of Kintyre and The Frog's Chorus - those are the bad ones I can remember. I am sorry but they were far from outstanding. The Beatles didn't do much for me although I was only a child in the 60's. I agree that he is down to earth.

A lot of people seem to be missing the "living" Briton thing.

I would nominate JK Rowling. She's pulled herself up from living on the dole to become the richest woman in England. She remains quite humble and continues to donate money and time into causes for children.

Elizabeth I, she restored honor, to Briton, she sacrificed herself for the good of the country and payed a heavy price for it. She brought peace to religious extremism and she restored faith in the Monarchy! She was a truly remarkable Lady. Our present Monarch is also living up to her namesake, I have no doubt that HRH will follow in her footsteps as the Queen of the People, well, to some people! lol
