Congratulations! or not! You got thirteen responses to say what you wanted to hear, right off the bat! Was that what you wanted? Well, it is America, and you people are entitled to belief the warped things you consider to be true! Uh, why is it exactly, that you WILL NOT accord these people the same courtesy! Who do you think you are? God?
And,I also notice, that all of you so called good Christians, NEVER back up what you say, with the tenets of you own church, when you are slamming theirs! Why is that! Are you afraid YOURS wont stand up against the grain?
I am not a Mormon, but I can not believe the hypocrisy of what you people say! Or how you judge the way that you do, not only with the Mormons, but with others! Atheists, and Jews, Muslims, oh, and the Jehovah Witnesses!
Aren't you all just so special?

Without a doubt in my mind I know it's true.
Luckily most Evangelicals haven't even read the Book of Mormon (evident by what they THINK it teaches) and then they lie about reading it, thus diminishing any shred of credibility they may have had.
1. The Book of Mormon does not contradict the bible. All the teachings are almost mirror images of bible teaching. In fact many verses read line for line as the KJV does.
2. The Book of Mormon teaches NO uniquely Latter-day beliefs. All of the "un-orthodox" beliefs of Mormons reside not in the Book of Mormon, rather the Doctrine & Covenants. (Lending even more evidence in favor of the Book of Mormon. If JSmith wanted to fool people and "write" scripture in order to do it, it would have been much easier while "writing" the Book of Mormon to make it teach about all the "strange" doctrines he wanted to advocate. Instead he seemed to waste his time writing a book that practically validates the Bible [with no respect to HOW IT IS INTERPRETED])
3. Historical evidence is going to be really difficult to prove or disprove the BOM as the claim behind the BOM is that it was taken away, and then revealed 1200 years later. The BOM unfortunately hasn't been afforded the opportunity to be passed down a long line of people making it traceable. (Protestants find this "convenient" in a cynical way, and Mormons find this "fortunate" preventing any corruption as we've found in the history of Christianty).

Absolutely not.
Look at history. Did you know that Joseph wasn't first to come up with this idea? It started long before him in Scotland. Have a look at the Ossian Chronicles and the story of them. James McPherson dug these out of a hill at age 16 and translated them. The fad caught on and there are at least 35 cases where people have dug similar stories out of the ground before 1799. At that time, it was said that this was getting old when yet another person came with a record they dug out of the ground.
Look at archaeology. There is none. Enough said.
Look at anthropology. Mormon anthropologist Thomas Murphy said the church is in trouble on this point.

I believe that it's true because I took the time to read and study what it had to say and prayed and asked God if the Book of Mormon is true. So I say YES :)

No it is not true. It was written in the 1800s by Joseph Smith who was charged with robbing graves and other crimes, and even his own mother said he was a liar.
Most major Christian denominations do not consider Mormons as Christians, because they say they believe in the Bible, but the Book of Mormon contradicts Biblical teachings, and Mormons hold the Book of Mormon over the Bible where contradictions occur. The Book of Mormon says things about Christ that simply don't say the same thing as the Bible.

I actually read the Book of Mormon because I wanted to try to understand the religion of my friends. Let's just say that the Book of Mormon did not speak to me. If it speaks to others then they can follow the dictates therein and to each his or her own religious path.

How can you believe the Book of Mormon is from God?
There are many areas where Mormon "scripture" conflicts with the Bible. There is not enough room to list them all, but I would like to highlight a few.
Mormons teach that there are latter day revelations. The Bible says, "Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints." (Jude 3) Notice "the faith... WAS ONCE delivered." This leaves no room for latter day revelations.
Mormons teach that an angel gave Joseph Smith the Book of Mormon. They call it "another Testament". The Bible says, "I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed." (Galatians 1:6-9)
The Book of Mormon teaches that believers were called "Christians" in 73 BC. (Alma 46:15) The Bible says that the disciples were called "Christians first in Antioch". (Acts 11:26) This was about 41 AD.
The Book of Mormon talks about the church also in Alma 46:15. According to the Book of Mormon this was about 73 BC. About 100 years later though, Jesus said "I will build my church" (Matthew 16:18). This means that the church was yet to be established in the future. (It was established shortly after Christ rose from the dead. (See Acts 2.)
Mormons also call young, unmarried men "Elders". The Bible says an Elder must be the husband of one wife (1 Timothy 3:2, Titus 1:6) and have children that believe (1 Timothy 3:4, Titus 1:6).
The book of Mormon teaches Jesus was to be born at Jerusalem (Alma 7:10). The Bible teaches Jesus was born in Bethlehem. (Micah 5:2, Matthew 2:1)
The Book of Mormon teaches that Melchizedek reigned under his father. (Alma 13:18) The Bible teaches his priesthood was without father. (Hebrews 7:3)
Mormons teach that one person can be baptized for another who has already died. Jesus taught "He that believes and is baptized shall be saved". (Mark 16:16) "He... shall be saved". Not he is baptized and someone else shall be saved. We will each be judged by what we have done, not on the basis of what someone else has done. (2 Cor. 5:10)
The Book of Mormon teaches that at Christ's death, darkness covered the land for three DAYS. (3 Nephi 8:19-23) The Bible says it was three HOURS. (Matthew 27:45, Mark 15:33, Luke 23:44)
Mormons teach that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and that Joseph Smith translated it into English with the help of God. On the introduction page of the copy I have, there is a statement that "some minor errors" have existed in past editions that were corrected in this publication. If it were God's word and translated with the help of God, then how did it have ANY errors, no matter how "minor"?
Also, if there are or were minor errors, how can the book be trusted to be correct in the things that relate to showing us the way to serve God and how to be saved?
The Bible is the word of God and it is all we need for our doctrine, for reproof, to correct error, and to teach! (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
I don't mean for these comments to be harsh, but there are many areas where the Bible does not agree with Mormon doctrine. I have given just a few examples and I have cited verses from the Bible and verses from the Book of Mormon so you can investigate it for yourself. If the Book of Mormon contains errors, which it does, then it cannot be the Word of God and it must be rejected.

I know that Joseph Smith is a Prophet, and I also know that the Book of Mormon is true. God has confirmed this fact with me many times, and I hope one day He will for you also.
God bless.

No it is to carnal.
It teaches a religion that has God external to the believers. The Father is defiantly "NOT" Adam.
God is within us by virtue of the breath of life that you know as conscious, as in the part that knows the difference between right from wrong.
To become a soul full of conscious you must become love. This is the path to God. When this is done you are living scripture so no book is of any value unless people honestly ask questions but will take no other authority.
