Last time, for the salvation of the world. This time he "rises from the dead" for the salvation of the world, and the destruction of the world.

John Chapter 6, verse: 66 From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.

Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. This is similar to the two hurricanes which made landfall on the same day recently. Less than 500 were "taken", the others left.

It was God's will. His ressurection was proficied so there is proof for those of you who say that it's not the truth. His resurrection was proficied in the Bible MANY years before he was even born and the men and women who once denied him began to preach his word because they SAW him after he was ressurected. He promiced that he would rise from the dead and that's what he did. The tomb was empty and he now sits on the right hand of the father. If he had not risen from the dead, the whole Christian beliefs would be pointless because our savation was bought with the death and RESSURECTION of Christ. I hope this answers your question. And don't listen to those who say that his ressurection is just a myth. They're obviously iggnorant to the truth. God Bless

God raised Him as evidence that Salvation had been achieved, as first fruits and a promise that we shall ALL rise again. As Paul said, if Christ did not rise from the dead, Christians are of all men to be most pitied.
The Resurrection is the most thoroughly documented event in ancient history. Disbelieving it is an act of wilful ignorance.

We have the promise of a future life through Messiah and the example of the Father's power in the resurrection of him. It will be an opportunity to start over to learn in an environment conducive to righteousness (or right living) without the temptations that plague us currently. (Isaiah 35:8 "And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness"; Isaiah 65:25 "They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain")

All the world came into the death condition by one man's disobedience, (Adam - Genesis 2:17) and all are to be rescued from death conditions (Genesis 3:15) by the obedience of another one (the Messiah).

He is an example and a guarantee of the fulfillment of the divine promise that "there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust" (Acts 24:15).

Don't forget that beautiful promise made by our Messiah in John 14:2 ~ "In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you."

Jesus Christ had the power the over death and life. Death couldn't hold Him down in the grave. Where was the power of death over Him and why it couldn't keep Him there?
Martha said to Him."I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day." Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me, shall never die. Do you believe this?"

To defeat the power of the fear of death.

In Genesis3:15, The promise of a Savior to defeat the curse of death is made. The seed of the woman. Jesus overcame the grave because He Is without sin. The wages of sin is death. And sin (death) couldn't keep Him in the grave.

So He raised from the dead so we who believe in Him will raise up like Him in resurrection day complete. Where we will say, "Oh death, where is your sting?".

The fundamental reason was to conquer death in his role as the lamb of God for the atonement of sins of mankind. This ushered in the 'covenant of grace' (love) which replaced the Mosaic covenant (law).

Secondary reasons are to fulfill the many Old Testament prophecies -- primarily via Ezekiel and the minor prophets as well as the Psalms -- which foretold his arrival and martyrdom centuries prior to his birth.

Fore told destiny. He died because that was the plan as told through the old testament or the "lamb of God". He rose for the same reason or to return to be with His heavenly father to sit with Him to rule throughout eternity just like He said. His return reinforces His promise to anyone willing to accept it. How bout you...you can die and go to heaven as well. The choice is yours. Hope you consider...eternity is a very long time. Blessings.

To prove that only He defeated death, hell and the grave. Had the Roman government been able to provide His body after the burial, they could have stopped Christianity in it's tracks, but they couldn't and Christinity spread like wildfire! Even the martyrdom of believers by the thousands couldn't stop Christianity and it never will. The Roman Catholic Church and it's persecution of "heretics" couldn't stop it and they ruled the world for hundreds of years! You can't stop anything that the Lord has started! Praise God!

To fulfil prophecy, to demonstrate victory over death, a curse brought on by the fall. Read the Bible in entirety to gain better understanding.
