Turn left at Chiswick roundabout, then carry on until you see a Spar on your left. It's the first right after that.

You should always be as wholesome as you think you should be.
If you find that your wholesomeness bothers other people it is probably because they feel you are indirectly judging them. You can either try to not be top overt about your wholesomeness, or express a reasonable propose for your wholesomeness.
They might not be so put off as much if they know why you have made your choices. Otherwise people might assume that you think there is something wrong with people that don't hold your same wholesomeness standards.
If you express you reasons, and people don't agree, then they know where you stand and you know where they stand. What ever the outcome, it usually makes people feel less judged.

If people are put off because I'm too wholesome for them than I'd prefer not to spend time with those people anyway. I'm certainly not going to try to be a little bad just to satisfy someone else! Besides, I find that people are never put off by a person's morality if they're sincerely not judging others as they make their own wholesome choices. It sometimes puzzles them, though!

The opposite of "wholesome" is "unhealthy." So if I put people off by being wholesome---I'm not the one with the problem. I don't want to be around unwholesome, unhealthy people, whether we're talking diet, lifestyle or morals. If the people I'm putting off are morally, spiritually or physically sickos, that's fine with me.

If living an upright life turn others off; then who cares? Our lives are not about pleasing others by trying to live up to their standards, but pleasing the One who gives us life and all other things.
Somebody is always going to find fault in whatever someone else does, be it good or bad.

Try to be as wholesome as possible without faking it. It's "fake" that people detect and oppose.

it depends on what you see as wholesome.
i see wholesomeness as not deliberatly harming others, not stealing, not taking excessive amounts of intoxicants, not gossoping, and not missusing sex (rape and other unwanted advances) but i'm not brilliant at the intoxicant one

I'm the type of person that minds his own damn business because I know that in this day and age if you try to be too friendly with people, well it's just creepy.

I don't try to be something I'm not. There are issues in my life that I have mastered, and there are areas of my life that I'm kind of raw about. I'm just me. In all of my successes, and in all of my faults. I don't put on a mask for YOUR benefit. THAT'S the definition of hypocrisy.
