Typhon was a great beast which rebelled against Zeus in the Tiatanomachy. He was equated with the God of the Hebrews by the Egyptians & Greeks.

Is Jehovah really a malevolent daemon bent on decieving people from the truth and deceiving them so that they end up in Tartarus?

I feel it's human nature. I know everyone, once in a while..feel pride about something we did or have... and have this bit of arrogance, even while we might not express it. One thing I dislike the most is arrogance, especially on material things. Are there some ways in which we can remove arrogance from our hearts; and remove the fact that we are least bit better than anyone else.

A friend of mine was making fun of a girl at college, who I know and she doesn't... because the bag she was carrying was not an authentic name brand and she said it seemed fake. This girl she was talking about lives with her single mom who is clearly struggling. I was so outraged.

Allah has said anyone with the least bit of arrogance will not see the doors of Jannah.

"If your aware of your humility;than you are arrogant"

Are there any specific dua's you can say? And can you give me some hadiths regarding this matter.

NON-Muslims- What do you think about arrogance? Is it immoral or just nature

Article in USA Today this morning:

http://www.usatoday.com/news/health/2007-08-02-doctorsrefusals_N.htm

Gay people (in particular) are being denied things like fertility treatments and Viagra--*after* the doctor has accepted their money, of course. Some pharmacists and doctors don't want to provide contraception to single people. Etc., etc. And medical professionals are asking for and getting "conscience clauses", and being sued, too.

Is this right? What do you think about this issue?

The bible requires "guidance and understanding from the holy spirit" to interpret it correctly. People speak in tongues, but they must have someone else translate it for us.
Why does it seem that everything about god has to be interpreted for us?
Doesn't this raise any theists suspicions a little bit?

I mean... aren't most folks who go there... erm..... dead?
Living people aren't supposed to be there, are they?

And if they're not dead (i.e. eternal life and all that).... then how was Jesus coming back supposed to be representative of his divinity? I mean it is hardly a sign of the divine if everyone can do it!
