In Tibetan Buddhism they hold that certain famous lamas are reincarnated, and they venerate them. My question is isn't becoming a Buddha, the goal of Buddhism, the thing that releases you from the cycle of samsara and rebirth? These famous lamas that are presumed to have achieved realization of their Buddha mind, shouldn't they not be reincarnated? I know this is unique to Tibetan-style Buddhism, and not all adherents of Buddhism believe this (and that some don't even hold to the idea of reincarnation) but any clue as to how this works would be great.

...So that the entire world can have a laugh at their expense?

No, this is not my baby. My son is 14 years old and a fine, intelligent young man. I have never put his picture on the internet and I never will.

The RCC didn't come around until after Constatine. There was ONE organized church at the time and they split into the RCC and the Greek Orthadox over what language was to be used in church Latin vs Greek.

For starters:
1. Limited by time. Having to take six days to create stuff instead of having it happen instantaneously, in the blink of an eye.
2. Limited by power. Having to rest on the seventh day, as if power has been depleted and there is exhaustion (as if nothing else could be created until returning to full power.)
3. Being limited by sex. If He is a 'he,' then He cannot do what 'she' does. That is not all-powerful.

Are Muslim women who wear Hijab really oppressed. Wearing it because they chose to wear it, because Allah told them to wear it. Allowing themselves to be evaluated because of their inteligence, skills and personality.

Or are they women who cannot walk down the street without every aspect of her physical self being ``checked out''?
Overweight adolescents hanging themselves and 13-year-old girls sticking their fingers down their throats.

What kind of freedom is this? Women are being used to sell products! Why do we allow ourselves to be manipulated like this? She is being coerced into selling herself, into compromising herself.

Wearing the hijab has given me freedom from constant attention to my physical self.

The Qur'an teaches us that men and women are equal, that individuals should not be judged according to gender, beauty, wealth, or privilege. The only thing that makes one person better than another is her or his character

And which one had the bible first? If the Catholics came first, put the bible together, and therefore had the bible first, wouldn't it stand to reason that THEY have the correct understanding of it? If I remember right, even though there are a lot of you differing christian sects running around with bibles today, you all didn't branch off from Catholicism until well over a thousand years AFTER the bible was put together and hashed out by Catholics. So, christians, how can you dare say that the Catholics don't know what their talking about? If you don't believe in their teachings, why the heck to you read and quote from their bible?

p.s. If you aren't an original follower and can't trace your christian beliefs back to Jesus WITHOUT going through Catholicism, don't talk to me about original christians. I'm well aware of them, and that is NOT what you follow.

For example, I am Roman Cathloic. But I don't feel if I should be limited to just the Roman Cathloic Church. For example, if I would go to a Baptist Church, am I a bad person? According to the Roman Cathloic's, yes. But aren't we all worshiping the same God anyway? It's a matter of interpretation.

Anyone else feel the same way? Or at least consider themselves a non-demominatial Christian?
