As the prophet John the Baptist once said, "no one can have anything unless God gives it." So you should thank God IF you realize beauty is given for a purpose: mostly, to test YOUR heart, not the hearts of others.
p.s. -- history records that Cleopatra was actually quite unattractive.

I Peter 3:3 Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; 4 But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.
True beauty comes from within. This is not just a Biblical concept, but many non-believers believe this truth as well. Don't worry about the outside, make sure the inside is beautiful. When you do, no one will think to question where your beauty comes from.

the body is temporary so it's not good to identify with it or as it. Better to develop inner beauty. Outer beauty is probably something you desired or was an attachment so it's not really a 'gift' any more than any of the other conditions you were born into. They are all the optimum condtions needed for your growth. Being pretty is no more a gift than being homely. Being homely may actually be more useful for developing inner beauty as the outer beauty isn't an obsession as it can be with those who have it.

Hi,
God knew who you would be born to before you were even a twinkle in your parents eyes, so yes, you should be thankful. Just don't get too hung up on your own beauty. That was Satan's downfall. He got too pump'd up on his own importance, and it earned him a dip in the Lake of Fire. Of course he hasn't gone swimming quit yet, but he has an E-ticket ride to burn.

Yes because God could have had you born with a deformed face but God decided to bless you with "beauty"

You are to thank him period. But that is nice so why not for the gift from Him even thought it was through an inheritance?

You should be happy and thank God you are you. After all Vanity and Pride are two of the seven deadly sins. Just thank God you are alive.

Hmmmmm. Before worrying about whether to "thank God" for you beauty, maybe you could ask Him to help out with the pride thing?

"Every good and perfect gift is from God," so yes, if you think you're pretty, thank Him. But try focusing on what's REALLY important, because inward beauty is what is important, not outward beauty.
