Or to be more what God has called them to be for their wives. I think Christian men need to hear sermons on this or have classes on this. Anyone know of any info on this subject?

The Kama Sutra has been around a long time; ditto the Joy of Sex. While they are not exactly Christian, they are certainly devoted to furthering romantic relationships. I know you would find either an to be an excellent study guide. And I'm sure that God, who is the author of romance, would approve. After all that's what He's talking about in the "Song of Solomon."

You can use the word romantic in several different ways, are you speaking bout a sexual relationship or a family relationship, or what ever, A True born again Christain will know what a true relatioship is. I have heard many sermons on how a wife is to be to their husbands & their husbands to their wife, But I already knew what a husband role was, even before I becme a Christian. I worked all my life, many times 16 hours aday, My 1st wife did not think i was making enough for her to spend, so she went & got a job, But she died when she was 37 yrs old in 1989, Now I am remarried to a wonderful Christian womn, She was working when I met her, after about 3 yrs of marriage, I told her one day, Honey if you wnt to quit your job, go ahead, I will support her, So she quit her job & I have provided for her ever since, Now I am retired, & before I retired at a earlier age of 56 yrs old, due to a spinal injury, I made sure that when I retied, my wife would be taken care of if something happened to me. I was able to retire when full pension & all medical & life insurance. Now a Good husband will treat their wife as Christ treats his church. I do know today with mny younger families, that it take both husband & wife to work to make ends meet, & they are to work these things out the right way, I was blessed with a good job for 38 yrs. that my wife did not have to work, when they did work it was them that choose it not me

I think this problem is far more prominent today than in most of yesteryear.

But the Q is 'Why?'

I think, in all seriousness, we need look little further than the darstardly deeds caused by the [so-called] "feminist movement", who have tried in vain, to turn women into men, or into 'amazons'!

You see, a man has to be 'inspired' by a woman.
If he is inspired by her, you can be sure that he will lift all aspects of his performance and even 'who he is' by comparison.
History is replete with women who have lifted the most ordinary or devastated men into true wonders of love and understanding - into the great men.
It is so true the saying,
"Behind every great man there is a great woman"
In true essence, few men can truly become great without the support or influence of a marvellous woman.

I think the great problem today is not as much how men can be more romantic and responsive as it is how women can become true women and be more supportive and responsive and femininely inspiring to men.
I think they have lost the way ... so that now many of both sexes merely settle for homosexuality.

It's mostly a matter of understanding emotions. There are a lot of sites on that and great breakthroughs in psychology. They may not seem to relate, but here's some sites that get going on the whole relationship, personal change, attitude, intuition thing and the mind change of today. If a person loves himself he can really love others the way they want. It's love yourself really good. Love people as you love yourself. That way I love/treat people really good. If you don't love people properly, the mind follows your lead and doesn't love you properly. You set up the standard and you get it that way. No karma needed.

Check out the book "Wild at Heart" by John Eldredge

"Eldredge gives women a look inside the true heart of a man and gives men permission to be what God designed them to be--dangerous, passionate, alive, and free."

Sermons do not a romantic make. Do you try being more romantic with him? or just wish that he would do it on his own?
Personally I'm an idiot with my girlfriend, I feel like I have to be a mind reader sometimes when she wants me to be more romantic, but she eventually tells me and things get even better. Maybe your husband is an idiot like me, try talking to him and telling him what you would like.

Ephesians 5
25Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

26That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,

27That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

28So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.

29For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:

30For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.

31For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.

32This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.

33Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.

This says it all, we fail but there is no greater expression of love than that which is described here.

Some men are not romantic, none have an excuse to be unkind to their wives.

Call 662-393-2690 -- ask for a copy of Keith Mosher's sermon from Wednesday evening. It would be perfect. You can get a CD for the Car or on DVD if you like.
