Always people Live only on BELIEFS SYSTEM. As a human being all are tend to do mistakes and for the mistakes they want to have justice and that is why they go to temples, churches, mosques, rivers, community meetings etc. Nobody is perfect in their thinking, behaviour, and actions . People use different methods to wash off their sins as they like. In fact my idea is this, when you think You have done something wrong and you realise this mistake and repent for that, You are saved from that immediately . You need not go to any place to wash off your sins,. Yours VRVRAO

Sin is a terminology recently invented. Sin was invented only to put a stop to cruelty and ruthlessness and tortures.
Before that there was only good and bad action and their consequences.
Ganges is river from heaven and its water are having properties which baffle even todays scientists.
As per sins getting washed by Ganges, these are hopes given by ancestors of India. We cant claim that its totally false or true ,unless we experience it first hand.
There are always many things in every religion which can only be realized by first hand experience.
Simply empty discussion cant reveal that realization.

its not true that if we dip in ganga river than our sins washed totaly but a litle part of got washed. it was started by our four fathers. if we really want to wash our sins than we should make us positive we should not repeat that mistake again in our life. and the people who went to ganga for washing there sins , they all are just doing this for there own satisfaction.

It comes from misinterpretation of various scriptures.
There is a way to change and be transformed, but in most cases, religions have lost it.
The whole thing is picked up in the free online book "Gospel Enigma." Entertaining and very informative on REAL cleansing.

Many religions have theories about forgiveness. If you look at Christianity, for example ... some Christians, such as Protestants, believe that once you are saved you are always saved, and that by the grace of God once you give yourself to the Lord you are His forever. Other Chritians, such as Catholics, believe that you can always be forgiven for your sins, but you must repent and ask for forgiveness, and even after receiving forgiveness, you must repent and ask for it again if you sin again.

The concept of sin is void; sin implies not only the existence of a god, but a god that takes an interest in human affairs. Which is preposterous.

People hadn't yet figured out that the past is gone, done and the present is all there is. With high moral standards, they needed something to forgive themselves and the subconscious doesn't forgive us if we don't forgive. It follows our lead. And we tend not to forgive others.
