Choice of God.
I think to me it makes sense that only men hold and minister with the priesthood. I have heard they need it to keep in line!
Once you are married a women also has the priesthood and that is the fulness of it.

I believe it is the choice of God. You don't find women in the bible who hold the priesthood. That's not to say women are not important to God he gave us a great gift we can become mothers. Men cannot do that. The only reason this ever becaome an issue is because of feminism. It's not like we can fix it so men can be the ones bearing children.

The Priesthood can be given to anyone that God wishes...and He has chosen various groups of people to have it or exclude it throughout time. Now, God has it available to all worthy males. It is HIS Priesthood...He gets to decide whom he will give it too.
This only applies within His Church.
Outside of His Church..Man chooses whom they will bestow the title upon. But they have no authority to bestow the power upon anyone.

I agree with the answerer who mentioned that this is mostly a modern feminist issue.
God and the early Church Fathers had an all-male apostleship and priesthood, not because they considered women unqualified, but because they considered certain things to be in the province of men and certain things to be in the province of women's God-given spheres. There were women deacons and disciples in the early Church. Read Ch 16 of Romans. I guess you could say that yes, in a way it was the choice of man, but it was a Divinely-Inspired choice.
The modern feminist attitude today is that men and women have absolutely no differences, and that it's all totally the same, a philosophy that I reject, along with feminism itself. Feminism teaches that it's OK for women to be bitter and resentful toward men for perceived "unfairness" and is a rejection of God's order. It is also anti-male and anti-family.
Men are supposed to be the spiritual leaders of their families, not abusing the authority that God has given them, and are supposed to love their wives as Christ loves His Church. (1Corinthians) An example of the ideal family woman is given in Proverbs 31.

A lot of things were done away with. This may be the time for that one. Like, what did Paul mean when he said that "All things are lawful, but not all things are profitable." I imagine back then it might of been very politically incorrect for that world. "There's a time for everything under the sun." Due to refinements in our needs, women are becoming more the leaders in our culture every day. Then too we're all to become "king priests", each one knowing what they need as leaders couldn't possibly. It says "no one will have to tell them all will know", priests are for "babes in the word." "In heaven[and or paradise?] there is neither male nor female."

God.
The bible teaches overseers/pastors are men, married, with kids.
1 tim 3:
1Here is a trustworthy saying: If anyone sets his heart on being an overseer,[a] he desires a noble task. 2Now the overseer must be above reproach, the husband of but one wife, temperate, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, 3not given to drunkenness, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money. 4He must manage his own family well and see that his children obey him with proper respect. 5(If anyone does not know how to manage his own family, how can he take care of God's church?) 6He must not be a recent convert, or he may become conceited and fall under the same judgment as the devil. 7He must also have a good reputation with outsiders, so that he will not fall into disgrace and into the devil's trap.
So a priest should be married with kids!

"And the same man ( Philip ) had four daughter's, virgins, which did prophecy" ( Acts 21:9 ). Women have been preaching the "Good news" since the Bible days and the Lord will continue to use us because we were the ones who stuck by Jesus when His disciples scattered. And we continue to stand beside Him and raise our children in the ways of the Lord because men have failed to be God's priest of the home in this day and age.

Without a doubt it is of God. I believe that it was actually done in the name of equality. See this post:

After you read that, then continue. :-)
---------
Biblical documentation only shows examples of men being ordained to the priesthood by prophets and apostles of God. Women are already sacred, holy creations anointed by God himself before birth that even earthly priesthood authority can't match.
