How much pull could we have in an overwhelmingly non-Catholic region? Isn't this as silly when you blamed us for overpopulation in Hindu India?

I try to be fair, but I find myself having to fight the urge to ignore those who have custom made to offend avatars. Some are very witty, but some seem made to offend, yet some of the most offensive avatars mask some of the kindest people.

because they made a mistake that they did not intend to make, so we can safely ignore any chapter of the Bible that refers to "sin", since it has been grossly misinterpreted!!

I kind of thought your beliefs sort of gelled at an early age and you stuck with it.Not that I think philosophical debate is unhealthy,I think it's great.I'm just surpried at the amount of disscussion

God, big topic in just about everyone eyes. all religions seem to hate or despise all others and even the ones that don't have one. it makes me sick to my stomach to see this. what the hell is the big problem? at the end it's not going to matter anyway

If Jesus was a popular / well known preacher (actually the Christ) then he would have been known and a betrayal would be unnecessary.

At youth group/school I am the only one who wears a necklace, a bracelet and boxer shorts that you can see if I bend over.Out of all the mormons (in my youth group/school) I am it. It has always been like this. And I have been mormon all my life, so have all them.

I love my Jewish friends, and don't want this question to be interpreted as anti-semetic. In fact, I'd be honored to have a Jewish Guy as my leader.

That said, does it make sense that Jesus was Jewish? After all his last name is Jesus CHRIST not Jesus JEW. Had he been a Jewish Guy, don't you think he would've been named Jesus Jew? Duh! It's just logical sense!!!

I mean where did you get the idea that Jesus is real just off a book?
sorry for arrgrevating my contacts for asking so many religious questions and especially the ones that have been helping out so much trying to help me understand their word of God but I just don't get it. If you believe that Jesus is real off a book; what makes it any different from believing Allah is real just from reading the Quran? It's like..ok there's no proof or anything..sorry for being a pain but it's really not sinking in. I mean; it seems to make just as much sense as a Pagan belief you know? Of course I don't want to go to hell eternally but other religons teach things like..reincarnation?...how do you know for sure that reincarnation isn't real? For sure for sure? You say 'yay God made a miracle for me he died for my sins'. That's great but um..other people of other religons believe that their religon makes miracles too. I just don't get it anymore. Someone please enlighten me..thanks

what if you're 45 yrs old, have been dating someone for 5 yrs but they're afraid of commitment and won't marry you, and you're still a virgin, and now they're saying they won't stay with you any longer if you don't have sex with them?

is there some age that you're allowed to have sex, even if you're not married, and you use birth control pills and condoms?

what are the exceptions to the rule?

What do you think of his appointment to Pope? The man itself? His opinions? His actions/statements recently?

Someone just posted this:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/6656081.stm
And I can't believe he said that. It made me angry and I'm not even from that region.

What about any of these:

I've been looking online for a coloring sheet of a picture of Heaven for the little children to color for Children's Church on Sunday morning. I'm not able to find one. Perhaps someone on here has seen one before.

i have seen many christians get married at a young age, and i wonder if they do it just so they can have sex. i'm not saying they don't love these people, of course they do, but if they were allowed to have sex without guilt, would they be so quick to marry?

think of how many marriages (christian or otherwise) end in divorce. the divorce rate is much higher when the partners have married very young.

As for me, I have this really weird fear about space. The thought of there being no end and no begining to it terrifies me. Anything that goes on forever is a really scary thought. Does anyone else have a similar phobia?

Im quite confused, and would like clarification. Im not trying to be offensive, but this doesnt make sense to me. If christianity is the true religion, and god created all things, what did people do before Jesus came? Why are there thousands of years of no christianity. The bible says god created adam and eve, the creation of life, but there is no mention of christianity for thousands of years, and then all of a sudden there is, and its the true religion? Can someone explain this time gap for me between the birth of man, and the birth of christianity, and did all those people who lived in the time before christ go to hell? How can christianity be the true religion, when it didnt exist for thousands of years when people already did? I would like a serious response please.

Of people who:
Make secret wishes to an invisible magic sky fairy,
Pronounce other peoples invisible magic sky fairies as false,
Claim people who don't believe in their invisible magic sky fairy may not have eternal life,
Pro actively avoid current and up to date mainstream knowledge of the natural world,
Fill innocent young minds with all of the above,
...and who believe it's all real..?

Sounds delusional to me, but what would be a clinical medical diagnosis for such behavior..?

since you keep on mentioning the Bible.

if you would feel offended, Catholics also feel offended by your false accusations. so do unto others what you want to be done unto you.

well, just a thought.

anyway, just answer the question, please.

For those who have converted to a faith, how have you changed since the conversion? How is how you look at the world, your fellow human beings, death, etc. now different than before?

(Interested in stories from all religious backgrounds, even stories of those who found themselves becoming more fully commmited to their faith/religious practice over time)

Thank you, and peace be with you.
