I kind of thought your beliefs sort of gelled at an early age and you stuck with it.Not that I think philosophical debate is unhealthy,I think it's great.I'm just surpried at the amount of disscussion

If you have to die, and afterwards are left without recourse, I would hope you would have the sense to seek the only One who is able to ensure your well being.

Have you read this man's story?

Religion is a fad at the moment like the hula hoop was in the 1960's, this fad started with the Twin Towers terrorist attack, there is a culture clash as all medieval -type religions clash with modernity and the internet in the 21st century, they are desperately trying to drag people back into the past where they hold power whilst the rest of us are trying to coax people to join us in the present and move into the future.
Religion... it's a hot topic just now but It's a fad doomed to die down.

If that were true about childhood beliefs sticking with you, wouldn't we all believe in the tooth fairy and Santa Claus? ;)

I was raised Christian but turned away from it first chance I got. Years later I came back to it on my own, but you know what? It was different this time. Because as a child I only read about Christ; now I know him. I think the reason a lot of young people are interested in religion and spirituality is because we're wired to seek a deeper meaning to life. You hit a certain age and you start to ask all these questions about yourself. They demand an answer.

People are born with the desire to know what life is all about.
Most get the first impressions from their family. When they get in their teens or 20's they are exposed to new ideas. It's fun and exciting to discuss religion/spirituality with others.

Eventually, every person must find their own path. I chose Christianity because it makes the most sense to me. I don't recommend organized religion or membership in any one group though... just me and God is enough.

The next powerful move of God in the Church will be through the youth (teens) and early 20's. I'm 42 years old but very exited for them.

Young people have just been brainwashed by there parents. Once they get a little older a lot of them will realize religion is a silly hassle and a waste of time.

Materialism is very unfulfilling for many people who want spiritual/cosmic/immortal meaning in life.
