Jesus may have been well known, but he was not popular. The Pharisees of the time preached good works was the way to heaven. Jesus taught that believing in God and His Grace was the way to heaven (John 3:16 Eph 2:8-9).
This, and the fact that Jesus admitted to being the Son of God was considered blasphemy, and punishable by death.

It was indeed necessary for him to die. He gave his perfect blood for all man kind. It was a ransom paid to retrieve what Adam had lost. In the book of psalms, it described the Messiah's coming and how the people would treat him, very badly. Because the people were expecting some rich looking extravagant man, but when Jesus did appear,he was not that, and his own people betrayed him. John 3:16"for god loved the world so much, he gave his only begotten son, that everyone exercising faith in him might not be destroyed, but have everlasting life." Adam and eve were meant to live forever, but for fitted that right when they sinned against god, and plaguing all mankind. So you see, Jesus death was necessary.

He was not a popular and well known preacher. To the contrary. The idea of Jesus was thought up and developed many years after he supposedly lived.

If you were watching a movie where nothing happened, would it keep your interest?
Jesus life was planned and carried out so that people then and still today are aware of it and what happened. If it was to boring, far less would there be to be said/written. Look for truth.

It was to fulfil scripture - He was sold into bondage before His trial, as Judas accepted 30 pieces of silver (the price of a slave) for Him. It was at His trial (also highly illegal) that He stated exactly who he was, and was sentenced to death for blasphemy.
It's worthwhile remembering, at this point, that Jews could not give out the death penalty, only the Romans could do this, and Pilate had washed his hands of the affair.

It s not. But he didnt go with a fight, cause the last thing he wanted was blood shed.
But stupid unevolved christians thought he was dieing to save them from sins. LOL
yea he was, he was saving them from being killed .
For if he wanted to not die , he could have raised his hand and an army of followers would have killed for him and be killed, and its not what he wanted so he died cause the killers sinned against him by killing him.
Most idiots dont know that and follow a relgiion that freedom and logic is not allowed .

True, but like any crime, you have to have an accuser. The Pharisees didn't want to take on that role in case it blew up in their faces. So, there had to be an informer, much like there would have to be one today. God had it all planned out down to every detail. :) thanks for the question and have a great day!!

He had to be arrested to be condemned to death. It was God's Will and was also foretold that he would be betrayed for 30 pieces of silver. It had to happen.

Keep in mind that God forgives. If Judas would have asked for forgiveness instead of hanging himself, he would be spending eternity in heaven. How sad!! Don't end up like Judas!!
