Live4Glory, see, your answer shows you're offended, so why still spread lies against the Church? can't you really realize that you are being offensive?

really, from the answers I get so far from you, "born-agains", it's so futile to have a sensible and level-headed conversation with you. it's very, very futile. you let your emotions run wild that you all become so defensive.

What a creative question.
Can't wait to see what answers you get.
The idea that all revealed truth is to be found in "66 books" is not only not in Scripture, it is contradicted by Scripture (1 Corinthians 11:2, 2 Thessalonians 2:15, 2 Thessalonians 3:6, 1 Timothy 3:15, 2 Peter 1:20-21, 2 Peter 3:16). It is a concept unheard of in the Old Testament, where the authority of those who sat on the Chair of Moses (Matthew 23:2-3) existed. In addition to this, for 400 years, there was no defined canon of "Sacred Scripture" aside from the Old Testament; there was no "New Testament"; there was only Tradition and non-canonical books and letters.
Our Lord founded a Church (Matthew 16:18-19), not a book, which was to be the pillar and ground of Truth (1 Timothy 3:15). We can know what this Church teaches by looking not only at Sacred Scripture, but into History and by reading what the earliest Christians have written, what those who've sat on the Chair of Peter have spoken consistently with Scripture and Tradition, and what they've solemnly defined. To believe that the Bible is our only source of Christian Truth is unbiblical and illogical.

The Bible is God's word. I worship God and try to obey his word. The Bible is holy and should be treated with respect. However if my house burned down and my Bible was destroyed, I would not be devastated. My God still exists, and I could buy a new Bible.

WE (Christians) worship the living GOD, not the book. If you follow the teachings therein you will live a good life. not necessarily a perfect life for we are all imperfect. But we are forgiven by the death and Resurrection our lord Jesus Christ, A devout Catholic.Jew, Muslim. or any religion will see God as well as a believing Protestant. He is Lord of us all.

I do not worship the bible, i live by its laws and statutes, It is as it says A light unto my feet and a Lamp unto my path. I consider it the perfect word of God, i use it to "test" and "prove" anything that another say to be biblically based. If it is not in the book, then it is false. That does not mean I worship the bible, by any means.

The Bible is the revealed revelation of God, the only one. We do not worship the Bible, we do not bow down to it, light candles before it, nor say prayers towards it.

That would be a lie. I worship God, not his book.
I would feel as if the person accusing me did not know what he/she was talking about, and I would just consider the source.

Take away the book and I would be ok. I do not have a relationship with a book, I have a relationship with the author.

They're not going to get it. They've decided that Catholics are idolaters, and they'll stubbornly hold to that false conception to their graves.
