The Western civilization was for the most part created by Christians and has a high population of Christians. Most of the worst acts of inhumanity have come from the west, eg, slavery, two world wars, the holocaust, the atomic bomb, extinction of species due to pollution and the greenhouse affect because of the technology produced by the west. So, you can say that the West, Christianity has produced most of the most evil things to affect the world, yet those in the West responsible are christians and will go to heaven. Most of the population of the world are not Christian's. There are many, many good non Christian's but they will go to hell.

You who love the LORD, hate evil! Psalm 97:10

The fear of the LORD is to hate evil;
Pride and arrogance and the evil way
And the perverse mouth I hate. Proverbs 8:13

True Christians do not hate you but love you and would love to see you surrender your life to God. Christians have to hate the evil acts you do. This does not mean we do not care for you. We trully care for your salvation.

He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. 1 John 4:8

If someone claims to not love you they do not know God. For God is love.

My proof of it is my faith.I have faith that the tooth fairy exists.

To any questions? The tooth fairy works in complex ways, too complex for you to understand.

If the tooth fairy doesn't exist, how else does a dollar appear under your pillow in exchange for a tooth?

See what I mean?

How about if a pastor used these names to describe someone who has filed bankruptcy or defaulted on credit card debt, etc... (someone who has stolen, broken one of the 10 commandments)

Would you support a pastor that used these words to describe someone who was divorced/remarried, (by fundamentalist standards, they are committing adultery)

So, would you give your support to such hate speech against the obese/gluttons, bankrupt, or divorced/remarried?

If not, why do you support churches/pastors that use these words against homosexuals.

Pat Robertson called Ellen Degeneres a degenerate...Jerry Falwell called the homosexuals the scum of the earth...and pastors on a regular basis, even on this site call gay people an abomination. I have heard many more adjectives used by pastors for homosexuals.

So, why? Why do you allow such terrible language toward homosexuals...but, would not stand for it against others?

I would just like to know why people want to say they follow the word of God (the Bible), but pick and choose what they want to follow and acknowledge. Everyone knows the "don't steal", don't murder", "don't covet thy neighbor's wife", however the Bible states other things that don't go with today's society, such as women will not teach and that they will do their husband's will. What about all of those? I just want to know if you take it as strictly what God says and you choose not to follow or if you think that some of the things God meant got miscontrued?

Just to elaborate, I mean: Is stealing a car worse than stealing a pack of gum? And is stealing any better than killing someone?

Please explain your answer. (In other words, you'll get a thumbs down if you just write "yes" or "no.")

Feel free to answer the question from either your personal perspective or the perspective of a religious group.

We know there is the existence of a Creator, but it does not indicate what sort of God that the Creator is likely to be. Why, then, should we believe in the Christian God? Why not Allah, the God of Mohammed? Or the gods of Hindus, or of Lao-tsoe, or of any of the other Eastern religious teachers?

God is loving and forgiving, so why do some people need to be sentenced to eternal damnation? Sure, it keeps us on earth striving for goodness, but that's a heck of a sacrifice for the people who are sent there. Why is that trade-off worth it?

In regards to hate speech...should a minister be allowed to call homosexuals an abomination.

In regards to separation of church and state, should a minister be allowed to tell his congregants whom to vote for.

In regards to drugs, should he be allowed to use and sell marijuana as a sacrament? See attached story.

These are all supposedly men of God...doing what they feel compelled by God to do...based on their interpretation of opinion of scripture.

Your thoughts?

I use some of these when deprogramming/ counseling people out of cults. Enjoy:
1. According to Jesus, who gave the law to ancient Israel? (Jn. 7:19)

2. What is the will of the Father? (Jn. 6:40)

3. Is a Christian dead to sin? (Rom. 6:2, 11; I Peter 2:24)

4. Is a Christian dead to the law? (Rom. 7:4; Gal. 2:19)

5. Why does the 'comforter' (Holy Spirit) reprove the world of sin? (Jn. 15:26)

6. If a Sabbatarian traveled east from Jerusalem to the U.S. paying attention to sunsets to determine when the sabbath began for him, what day would he keep it? (I'll have to provide the answer here; it would be Friday, and this fact drives them nuts)

7. Does God justify the ungodly? (Rom. 4:5)

8. Are Christians freed from sin? (Rom. 6:6-7)

9. Why did John baptize people with water? (Jn. 1:30-31)

10. What was crucified with Christ? (Rom. 6:6).

If you miss half or more, you just might be in a cult.

I really am interested in this, why do people believe that jesus christ is the son of god, what validation do you have that can convience a non believer he truely was the son of god. Just cause the bible tells you so doesnt make it true. The bible has been changed and edited as well as things taken out along the years. So the bible doesn't have much to support. So what proof do you have to believe jesus was the son of god.

So does God know what our destinies will be? And if he does, that sort of interferes with free will because He knows what decision youre going to make, so youre pretty much stuck with that decision. If free will were to be maintained, you would have to have made every decision in your life before you were even born. Which doesnt seem right. What is the explanation for this?
