We absolutely must help those in need, no question about it. Genuine lovers of God do that (usually without telling others). Of course, that does not stop them expressing concern at lies about God. If you heard someone repeat an ignorant statement about God, would you not be honor-bound to object and politely try to correct that person? Or is the honor of God's name not something that bothers you?
A great many lies get told in various religions about God. The problem is knowing what is the lie and what is the truth! Mis-information and dis-information abound. For example, tonight I read a Muslim answer to a question as to why Islam does not accept the Christian teaching of the atonement. "Jesus didn't say that he died for anyone's sins" was one statement, followed by "I don't trust anything from the Bible because it has changed so much... I believe that God's word got lost a long time ago." If you cannot spot the mis-information and dis-information this sincere person was unwittingly passing on, you cannot see the size of the problem.

The reason being is because humanity has evolved into an ignorant era where one cannot accept another's faith, nor can they take the advantage to comply with the opposite religion/faith. And that is the biggest problem and cause of hatred, discrimination, racism, fascism, and even forms of bigotry as well as religious endorsements. Sister, human society has gone to a phase where someone cannot see another eye to eye because of the dramatic changes occurring everyday. Insha'ALLAH others will be able to open their eyes and realize your beautiful words.
Diminati- When did I say ti was new? I said it has "evolved" meaning at one point in life, this didn't exist and it has evolved now into this. That clarifies that it is getting to a very extreme and intolerable level. Before you can criticize others' answers, make sure you fully read and comprehend yours.

Asalam Waalikum--
I think the reason that people attack each other's religion is because we only see the differences and don't truly look beyond skin color/ accent (sometimes i find myself doing it too). We don't realize how all of us are actually all the same (Christian, Jews, and Muslims) because we beleive in one god (althought some christians believe in trinity.) and prophets... Even though others may have more than one god like hindus, you will see that they like same things as you.

That sounds like a great idea. Do you think you could talk to some of your brothers in certain other unnamed countries? They could really benefit from that idea.
Desi - what makes you think that is something new? A review of history will show it is as old as Abrahamic religions.
