reason ???
i personally feel no man is perfect .
even god was not perfect . he made the biggest blunder of his life by making ' MAN ' .
what is today's ' MAN ' ???
nothing but a beast running after money , violence , sex and many such things which god may never have expected from his creation .
so my dear , god too was not perfect so how can there ever be a secret of attaining perfection ???
but even if i say once that you may be right and there could perhaps be a way to attain perfection , then i think it should be giving up all wrong deeds .
never abuse any one , when you have to go to work and when someone pushes you from a moving bus .
never lose your cool . tell me will you be able to do it ???.
we all work in order to earn money to meet both ends meet , isn't it ???.
but will you ever give a hundred rupee note to an ailing beggar who may perhaps not even had a single piece of bread for months ???.
i am sure , you will think twice before doing so .
my dear friend . as i have said , that even god wasn't perfect and we too just can't be perfect .
no man is perfect and can never be .
in order to be perfect , first lesson we all should know is to be a good human being . who is always helpful to the poor and the needy , one who is not greedy , one who never abuses or harms any one . one who is unselfish ........... and the list is too long .
no man is perfect and there can never be anyone to follow the rules of being a good human being . in today's world it is impossible to gain perfection .

The only thing you need to become an absolutely perfect person is a little thing called "the ability to do the impossible".
Or, if you have enough money, you could buy out all the companies that publish dictionaries and just change the definition of the word "perfect".

If you hae to work for attaining perfection , yo will have to spend your whole life towards tha process and will not have any time to work for anythng else. There are no standards / yardstick of perfection .What are the qualities of a perfect man? They would differ widely from person to person.
But one can try to be as good a person as possible for all by being honest and helpful to the extent possible.
I think that Cardinal Newman has written aboiut the qualities of of a gentleman.Try to see it and try to adhere to his suggestions therein.

No one's perfect on the earth.......We all believe that only God is perfect so we worship him....what if all people are perfect then we will loose the meaning of GOD as we'll think that we are perfect & can never make mistakes....just like God.....Attainig perfection is just next to impossible but we can always try to be good not perfect all the time.........

Before jumping to be perfect lets ask ourselves what perfection is.
A spiritual being in the past was asked about miracles and he replied, "Look at the world around you, isnt this miracle of God enough for you."
So just by observing and appreciating the beauty of this universe and the beauty that lies within us we stand at the doorstep of comprehension.
I would say the same to you and me, Observe your surroundings are they less perfect in any way. Isnt this universe perfect already.
If you still have any doubt then explore the definition you have given perfection and why you have given it.

The secret is denial of one's flaws. Nobody can attain perfection, so as an individual, the only way to know that you are perfect is to first delude yourself that it's possible, and then deny that you are humanly flawed.

Read your Holy Book and follow everything written therein.
It is a very tough to follow but the road to perfection is NEVER easy either.

the secret of attaining perfection in my opinion is...
don't ever try to attain perfection...be yourself, be true to yourself and be honest with yourself and your actions,
in the process of attaining perfection, many blunders will be committed because there is no specific path to perfection, there is no definition of perfection. if you have a noble goal and a truthful path to that noble goal, i call that goal as perfect and that path as the path to perfection.
nothing except honesty/truth is perfect.
not even God.

It's a paradox, I think one of the things needed to truly be at peace with yourself is to accept that you will never be perfect.
You'd be throwing your life away in even attempting to be perfect.
