Actually D&C does not state that. It only states that you cannot achieve the highest state of eternal salvation without celestial marriage. It does mention David and Solomon having many wives, but that they were given to them, and they had actually sinned in taking some extra wives who were not of the peoples the Lord approved of (heathen religions). If you read the Official Declaration 1 (below) you notice that it is there to show there was an end to plural marriage. There were a few more marriages performed after that. I even have a great-great grandfather who was married to something like wife number 4 or 5 after 1890, but in my opinion, he was just filling in for some other men who had in all likelihood died in the Civil War or shortly thereafter, who never had the chance to come West. We just have to wait for the Millennium for all the family ties to get straightened out. I believe there is just one wife for each worthy man, so my uncles who died too young to get married or later on as bachelors will have someone special for each of them. If you are worried about Section 132, just skip over it and keep reading. It's mostly a 19th century way of speaking now. Have a happy day, and I send you a gummy bear.

Section 132 has much more to it than the tiny part about polygamy!
Why do people have to keep harassing us about polygamy? That's part of history. Things change! It is not part of today. It is against the law. GIVE IT A REST!

Have you ever actually *read* D&C 132? It says that entering into the New and Everlasting Covenant of Marriage (ie Temple Marriage) is necessary to obtain exaltation.

Actually, it does not state that. It says Celestial Marriage, which is NOT plural marriage. It's marriage in the temple by the proper authorities.
What it does say is that, if the Lord commands, and gives one, two, or ten wives to a man, he is not committing adultery as he is married to them.

If I posted a really good come back to that one, you would most likely start a huge bashing argument, so I will save you energy by not telling you the truth you don't seek.

Why do you care anyway? I would answer you, but I don't think you seek answers. I think you are only trying to stir up trouble.
