I agree with ANISE most of thenew testament was stolen from the old, also the traslaters (and there have been many) have given their interpretation of the text, meaning the true meaning was lost long ago. if you question this read the many differnet copies of the bible that are in circulation ie King James' or Javhova's (which is a made up western name of god that was translated by someone and now has followers of said name even though god true name is YHW according tothe hebrew text) is it any wonder that people don't understand!

The books that actually went into the bible were voted upon, and the ones that the voters didn't like were left out. The bible constantly contradicts itself. Also, ppl wrote the bible-- not God, but technically humans have never seen God, so how could it possibly b accurate? Some of the books that those voters chose to leave out were passages that made Jesus sound human, therefore making him out to b a lot more than he actually was. There r always going to b plenty of things in science that we can't explain, and we blame those things on God until we discover the big bang theory for example. Y does the bible say that God created all the animals and plants and the whole Earth in 7 days, but then science comes into the picture and says we all developed from amoebas. How could Eve come from Adam's rib if humans evolved from close ancestors of apes? U shouldn't believe everything u read. The ten commandments say "thou shalt not worship false gods before thee", but then u worship Jesus and the bible (both false gods). Y else would every book of the bible b a completely different story although still and account of the same event (the life of Jesus).

When I first began to read the books of the bible I started with the gospel of Christ; Matt, Mark, Luke and John. Just by reading the historical aspect of these books were pretty easy to understand. I then went into Genesis and read those first few books to understand the history and the law of Moses. The bible tells much more than history but some read it for only that reason. They don't want to look for the deeper meaning of God's message and come to know him.
The point you bought up is what bible books about God didn't I understand. It was when I got into Ezekiel which I found difficult to comprehend. Then when I first read the Revelation I was at a loss trying to understand the symbolic meaning of those chapters. That isn't to say I didn't want to understand them and what God was trying to say. You could go into different books and read them over again and again and finally find something in a new light which you didn't quite understand at first.

Does anyone really know everything. How about prophecy which is yet to be fulfilled and the time of its fulfillment. For instance, no one knows the day and the hour when Christ will come again.

As to God the author of His book, the more you read he can be understood and appreciated. You will see his power, justice, love, mercy, wisdom and how he has dealt with mankind throughout bible history. Some will say that we don't need to read the bible to understand God. Others may say the bible is just ancient history so therefore we don't need to read and understand it. But if they make it a daily practice to read the scriptures and meditate on what is read they will see that God is concerned about us and wants all to come to know and understand Him.--Acts 17:24-27

Every book n the Bible is a statement about God, He is the creator of the earth and man. Jesus is his son born of a virgin and the Savior of the world. The two are different, but both are in heaven.

Um, the Bible is also known to be plagiarized from Hellenic texts, contradicts itself and those who have translated it have identified passages that were added later (not written at all in the style of the original author of different sections).

The foundation of your religion is that the Bible is infallible, but that's just because you're not actually doing any research at all on the Bible. Stop worshipping a book.

God is your creator. He gave you life or you would have not been born. The whole Bible is who God is. Why don't you start reading it. It is also history, He speaks to us through it. Shows us how to pray and our salvation through Jesus Christ. Every part of it has meaning for us. It is his love letter to the world. God go with you.
