It is a sin that is forgivable.

If you die in your sins with out Jesus in your life , You won't reach Heaven . If you die in your sins knowing Jesus , you will reach heaven . He is the great redeemer . If being gay is a sin , then you must do your best to refrain . Who ever said gay people will never reach heaven , didn't read the bible correctly . If sin wasn't forgivable , We'd all be in Hell . As a Christian you hate nobody and do your best to love all .
The bible clearly states that a little white lie is like a murder unto God . Which means it's all the same in the eyes of God .

As I have said in a previous question of this nature, you don't hate the people doing the sin, you hate the sin itself.

Read these verses to find the truth:

Leviticus 18:22
Genesis 2:24
Leviticus 20:13
Romans 1:24-25
1st Corinthians 10:13

Therefore, according to Biblical truths, I think that homosexuality IS wrong.

In the Bible it really is an abomination, and it's not us that condemns them, it's God. In God's eyes we are all sinners. Homosexuality is a sin just like lying or stealing. All sinners are condemned by God to Hell unless they accept God. We should indeed love them as people, but we should not embrace their lifestyle. It sounds horrible, but in the Bible times they would stone homosexuals to death, just as they would do for adulterers or anyone they thought deserved it. Homosexuals have it so much better now days, and they don't even realize it. So you are right, we are supposed to treat each other as we would want to be treated, but please don't engage in their lifestyle because you could put your spiritual well being in danger. Please don't take any of this the wrong way, I don't mean to offend anyone.

Hi alexi. Yes, we know homosexuality is sinful because God tells us it is. In Romans 1:27 God tells us of this sin:

"Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due."

Is homosexuality a forgivable sin? Is cheating on your income taxes a forgivable sin? Lying about your age? Murder? Stealing? Are these forgivable sin? Yes. The only sin that will not be forgiven is blasphemy, that is declaring that Christ was sent by Satan (Mark 3:22 and Matthew 12:32).

What I'm saying is some homosexuals fear God and some don't. Some people who cheat on their income taxes fear God and some don't, some people who lie about their age fear God and some don't. Some people who sin fear God and others who sin couldn't care less.

Yes homosexuality is sinful, but no more sinful than stealing, cheating, adultery, lying or any other sin except blasphemy. Christ gives us good news about those who are sick in their sins. In Mark 2:17 Jesus tells us:

"On hearing this, Jesus said to them, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners."

Thanks for your supportive comments.

However, you will not get a decent answer from nine out of ten "christians" on this site ... they just love the hating too much to give it up, and ever accept that we are real people, with real feelings, and real emotions.

If they really believe that their God created the world, then they have to accept that he created us too ... the way we are is not a choice we have made, this is how we were born.

I still don't understand why so many "christians" are so obsessed with homosexuality.

The Bible does say that those who behave in such a manner will not inherent the kingdom of heaven.

We are not called to judge but LOVE. Christians should separate the sin from the sinner. Hate the sin but LOVE the sinner.

So know we shall not condemn them but we don't support their behavior.

For if we judge others we are only store up wrath for ourselves on the day of judgment.

There are degrees of sin, and homosexuality is gross sin. Yes we are supposed to love everyone, but I would not have close associations with them if possible. I don't think that would be Christian.

Jude 7 says :So too Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities about them, after they in the same manner as the forgoing ones had committed fornication excessively and gone out after flesh for unnatural use, are placed before (us) as a (warning) example by undergoing the judicial punishment of everlasting fire.

1Co 6:9 Or do you not know that unjust ones will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be led astray, neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals,
1Co 6:10 nor thieves, nor covetous ones, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor plunderers shall inherit the kingdom of God.

Rom 1:25 who changed the truth of God into the lie, and worshiped and served the created thing more than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.
Rom 1:26 Because of this, God gave them up to dishonorable passions, for even their females changed the natural use to that contrary to nature.
Rom 1:27 And likewise, the males also forsaking the natural use of the female burned in their lust toward one another, males with males working out shamefulness, and receiving back within themselves the reward which was fitting for their error.
Rom 1:28 And even as they did not think fit to have God in their knowledge, God gave them up to a reprobate mind, to do the things not right,

It is sin according to Scripture. God condemns sin, and those who are not believers will suffer the punishment for sin. We don't condemn anyone, it is not our job, but we will point out what the Scriptures say, then the hearer is responsible for that truth. We don't hate them, we simply, in love, point out their error and tell them the truth of God's grace.

The Bible is clearly against homosexuality in many verses.
The Bible also condones treating women like second-class citizens in many verses. And Jesus Himself spoke against divorce, unless there is adultery involved.

Why do most Christians see homosexuality as a sin, but do not support treating women as less than equal? And how many Christians are divorced?

The reason, I believe, is that if you truly see women as equal, and have friends/relatives who have divorced, you can't possibly take a literal/strict view of these Bible verses.

For Christians like myself, who have gay friends and relatives, I cannot with all my heart believe that God created gay men and women so that they can be condemned (and worse) by the rest of us. God loves us all, and following Jesus Christ means loving all people, with all our hearts, like he loves all of us.

the old testimant says its an abomination for a man to lie with ( have sex ) a man as he would with a woman. I do not know if it is really worse than any other sin the point is that they not want to stop but say it is ok when in God's eyes it is not.
