It is pretty obvious that almost every important character in the Bible is male! Why is it that men are the main focus in the Bible, and women are just there merely as a supporting role. But most importantly, Jesus himself is also a man! And God is also referred to as "He, Him". Aren't men and women supposed to be equal? In christianity, women cleary are inferior(by a large margin, almost insignificant). God even created Adam before Eve. Only when he saw that Adam was loney did He decide to create Eve(how pityful).

in what they do would you be friends with them? I never thought it would be possible for me to do that, but I find some of them are very nice people. So yes I would become good friends with them. One world af advice christians if they are interseted in knowing more about Jesus they will ask, do not tell them they are going to Hell, that will drive them away not just from God but from you. I am talking from experience here. Some of them are very helpful people, and I love them but even though I do not approve of what they do, they have a choice chrisitans, and everybody should respect them, and learn to get on with other people. Now do not get me wrong, becasue I stuggle with an illness and sometimes find it hard to get along with other people, but in my heart I am coming to accept other people. Chrisitans I am learning not to Judge other peoples decision, because you never know if that person will come to Christ and will become a good friend. So Chrisitans before you judge someone who

It is quite obvious that the Bible posseses alot of inconsistencies, whether it be internally or externally. Alot of scripts contradict with themselves, and alot scripts contradict with the real world. Such as the several verses in the Bible that mention that Earth is a stationary object and is the center of the universe(not the exact wordings).

If christians say that these inconsistencies is due to human error in translation, how do you tell what is correct and what is not in the Bible? Besides, to mention that the earth doesn't move would be a pretty unbelievable mistranslation(and wouldn't it be too miraculous that every verse that mentions that Earth doesn't move would be identcally mistraslated . If translators can make such erronous translations, who can tell how erronous the whole Bible is? The part where God condemns Gays might have been mistranslated, and reality he condemned hetros, who knows? After all the years of mistranslation....

they will almost always fall back to "but those aren't REAL Christians"? I find this incredibly denigrating and dismissive of other people's faith, and contend that those making that statement aren't the real Christians. After all, what happened to "judge not, lest..." and who are you to decide what is in other people's hearts?

The question I'm referring to was this one:

So much of the time, it is quite easy for us as humans to laugh or make fun of someone who's beliefs are different from our own. I ask you to please examine your views and search, with an open mind, for the one true God. You don't have to believe, but surely your eternal destiny (or what lies beyond death) is something that should be of utmost importance to you. You don't want to be wrong when your time comes, so I encourage you to open your eyes to the possibility that you may not hold the truth.

Is that group the only group who will be saved? What if you study from more than one version? Are you contradicting your faith? Why do modern day translators have so much trouble with translations of things such as... advertising slogans? If human beings can't properly decipher the intent and nuance of the foreign language advertising slogan of someone who wrote it just yesterday, how can we think translations of thousand-odd year old writings from another culture have been translated correctly?

You always say without a shadow of a doubt, so I assume you know what a shadow of a doubt looks like.. What does it look like? Is it big? Small? Square? Round? Are you sure that Doubts actually have shadows? Usually shadows are created by things that are blocking the suns rays.. Are your doubts so big and strong that they cast shadows that you can then contrast and compare in your testimony?

Why is it so important for people to belong to an organized religion? Who cares as long as you have beliefs and morals?

What is the purpose of God? I mean the purpose of an animal is to live and defend its self from harm. The purpose of some humans is to live a good christian life so that we get to heavan, some other peoples purpose is to make as much money as possible and indulge in everything sinful or not.
But my question is why is God here? He isn't here because of us, because we wouldn't be here if it wasn't for him. IDK if you understand what I'm asking please post an answer. I'll keep watching the question and posting more details if I have a response to one of your answers.

It is my understanding from reading the Old Testament that the “Messiah” will be of the lineage of King David, and that King David was from the lineage of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. If this is true then why do people say that Jesus was a Jew instead of a Hebrew? If he is a descendant of Judah instead would that not mean that he is not the “Messiah” as was prophesied since he is not of the lineage of King David?

Just check this link http://www.countercurrents.org/us-sikand171105.htm - a few findings inspire as much "terror" in my heathen heart as any Al-Qaida suicide bomber - here are the main themes of this article

1. They believe Iraq War is "God's sanction" against Muslims and Arabs (in their own homelands) - Pres. Bush has a "personal communication" with God.

2. They won't stop here - after Iraq, they want to dominate the whole world as part of a "Pax Americana" - White American and Zionist civilization to dominate Earth - as part of

"Jesus Christ arrival" and all sinners, heathens and pagans will be destroyed.

Jesus, they believe, will return to the world to rule only once the Jews have 'returned' to Palestine and have rebuilt the temple of David that was destroyed almost two thousand years ago. After this event, many Jews will convert to Christianity and those who refuse to will be sent to hell.

So many LOONIES in your backyard and we call it "WAR ON TERROR"

Why does every statistic I examine indicate that
a) the bible belt has a high divorce rate
b) the bible belt has a high incidence of STDs
?

Shouldn't we by rights expect almost zero divorces and zero STDs in a majority-christian population? Does it look like that abstinence stuff is working, or does it look like it is having the opposite effect?

Two people are talking, one of them says something that the other takes as an attack on their beliefs and/or values (not a personal attack) and becomes defensive and even hostile.

Why do people do this, why it that when someone asks a question or makes a statement that asks a question of someone’s belief system that they become hostile instead of cool calm and collected, and asking for clarification?

Why do people instantly believe they others are attacking their beliefs? Are these people so unsure of their own beliefs that they attack out of fear or is it something else?

Please explain what you mean.

Serious answers only please.

Thanks.

consider this. any class you've ever taken, before you were sent out to take care of a homework assignment, the teacher usually acquainted you with the material by giving you sample questions or problems. this is to aid you in thinking of the proper way to answer or solve them. it wouldn't necessarily be fair for a teacher to just give you an assignment without any preparation. yet in the bible we're taught that we were given jesus as the perfect example by which to live our lives. keep in mind, this is some 4000 years after man had already been around, biblically speaking of course. wouldn't you say this is somewhat poor planning on god's part if he did indeed want us to be christ-like? shouldn't he have sent jesus much earlier, like maybe before adam and eve, so they would have a better example to live by? your thoughts?
